13 - 090Sulfur Oxidation Mediated by Imine Derivatives. — Oximes ortheir derivatives are examined as mediators for the oxidation of sulfides suchas (I) and (III). No reaction occurs in the absence of the mediator. A numberof saccharin derivatives (V) is prepared. Their mediating activity shows astrong dependence on the substituent R.
