1997 antibiotics antibiotics U 1200 25 - 229 Novel C-2 Substituted Carbapenem Derivatives. Part 1. Synthesis and Biological Activity of Non-Aromatic Heterocyclic Derivatives. A series of new carbapenems, e.g. (III), (XI), and (XIV), is investigated for biological activity. It is shown that (S)- stereochemistry at the C-2 side chain and the introduction of a double bond in the heterocycle affords better stability of these compounds to human dehydropeptidase-1 (DHP-1) besides of good activity. — (BURTON, G.; CLEAR, N.
