The instable thione S-sulfides (I), which are generated from 1,2,4- trithiolanes or thiiranes and thiones, are found to undergo cycloaddition to 1,2-dithioles with activated acetylenes and quickly form 1,2,4-trithiolanes with thiones. They can decompose to thiones and elementary sulfur by fast sulfur transfer reactions. — (HUISGEN, R.; RAPP, J.; Tetrahedron 53 (1997) 3, 939-960; Inst. Org. Chem., Univ.
