Presbyterian, we met in a smaller room.

Bob and Marilyn Wagner were introduced as new members.

They own a 1930 Town Car. Best wishes were extended to

those celebrating birthdays and anniversaries. Charlie

Cummings made a motion seconded by Roberta Mittan that

Committee Reports

dent Mays asked if anyone had signed up to bring treats in

September. Jerry Waechter and Helen Sougey indicated

they had volunteered. Margaret said she would provide an

update in the newsletter.

is found in another part of this newsletter. The file copy of

the minutes contains the information provided in his report.)

was exploring a couple of possible new sites in Clatonia and

Waverly.

Sharon Griess after her recent hospitalization.

the meal we have had in the past due to an increase in meat

prices. She reported that the CMAFC board had met earlier

and voted to pay a portion of the increase. Members will be

charged $27.50 and the club will pay the balance of the

increase.

Old Business

Gayle Hanshaw reported on plans for a joint picnic with the

Meadowlark Model A club from the Omaha area. After

discussion of several options the group suggested that

Gayle contact the Omaha group about a joint breakfast/

brunch or early picnic on Saturday, Sept. 13 at Mahoney

Park. It was agreed that the socialization last year was a

good experience and the setting was a good one.

It was also a consensus of the group that if the Meadowlarks

host the Regional Meet in 2017 some of our members would

be willing to assist.

New Business

President Mays reported that Valerie Barton had contacted

Margaret as a representative of CMAFC regarding a request

for assistance in preparing her father’s 1930 4 door Model A

for sale. It has been in storage and needs a battery. Jim

Cook and Ed Taylor volunteer to contact the Barton family.

Gayle Hanshaw spoke about the Mustang Celebration at

Pinnacle Arena and said that he is volunteering.

The fee for showing a car is $20.00 and $65.00 to be

judged.

Car Pool Winner: Leo Sougey

From your President……..

Dean & I had a great time over in Amana, IA

at Model A Day. Despite the threat of rain

for the weekend, 82 Model A’s lined the

street. The Model A gods were shining down

on us, and it never did rain. This event, plus

the state fair, interfered with us attending

several Club events. Thank you to those who

provided me with information for the

newsletter. Events are winding down for the

year with two or three remaining, our last

being the Christmas Party.
