The CFA ® curriculum covers concepts and skills needed at all stages of an individual’s career, bridging academic theory, current industry practice, and ethical and professional standards to provide a strong foundation of advanced investment analysis and real-world portfolio management skills. Chartered Financial Analyst CFA® (USA) To be eligible for the CFA ® certification, applicants must meet one of the following requirements: Bachelor’s (or equivalent) degree Be in the final year of bachelor’s degree program Have four years of professional work experience Have a combination of professional work and university experience that totals at least four years Note: Candidates initially enrolling / registering as final year undergraduate students (with a degree in progress), cannot register for the Level II exam until they have earned their degree, or obtained professional work experience that meets the program’s entrance requirements. Candidates must update their account education information, once they receive their degrees. CFA ® Examination Information The CFA ® programme includes a series of three exams: Level I – Tools of investment valuation and portfolio management (240 multiple choice questions). Level II – Asset Valuation (20 item set (mini-cases) questions) Level III – Portfolio Management (8 and 12 questions essay questions) The duration of the CFA ® exams is 6 hours, split into two 3 hour sessions each. Students can register for one exam at a time. Level I is offered in June and December.
