CHS CLASS OF 1995
BECKY (SNYDER) AMESPERSONAL INFORMATIONI live in St. Joseph, IL (about 15 minutes east of
Champaign) with my husband Keith (my high school sweetheart) and our 2 children. Mallory is 8 years old and is a mini-me. She has such a fun and
outgoing personality. Trevor will be 2 in July and is such an active, sport loving little boy. Keith and I have been married for 11 years. I work as a Hospital Development Director for Gift of Hope Organ and
Tissue Donor network. I work with local hospitals to coordinate organ & tissue donation. The easiest way to understand what I do is that I’m the person who
gets paged when someone has suffered a traumatic injury and is not going to survive. I go to the hospital, evaluate the patient to determine if they
are a candidate for donation and then speak to their family about their donation options. It’s a very challenging job and unlike anything I ever thought I’d be doing, but I feel like I am making a difference
in the world by saving lives through donation.
SINCE GRADUATIONThe first 11 years out of high school I worked for various National communications companies as a marketing and sales director. I got the opportunity to
travel about 200 days a year all over the United States and a few other countries! It was a great way to see the world (on someone else’s dime) and I was
able to stay in beautiful places I could not have afforded on my own. After my daughter was born she traveled with me a lot, but when she was going to enter kindergarten I quit my job and went to work
for a non-profit organization called Gift of Hope. I didn’t want to be traveling and missing her childhood! One of my greatest accomplishments is
that I started a local group called Empty Arms — www.empty-arms.com — in 2006 with a friend after we both suffered the loss of a child. Our group
reaches out to families grieving the loss of a child through miscarriage, still birth and infant death. This group has brought such comfort to families and allows me the opportunity to keep my daughters
legacy alive. Some fun things I’ve done in the last 15 yrs. include parasailing in Cabo San Lucas; whale watching on 2 islands in Hawaii and I started a marketing division for a national telecom company.
FUN FACTSMy husband and I love to travel to different wineries for vacations. We’ve toured through Napa Valley and
always look for wineries wherever we travel. I sing in a country music band as well as the worship team at our church. We love to play golf when we get a spare afternoon and above all enjoy spending time with
our kids.
TREVOR BELZERPERSONAL INFORMATIONLiving in Rock Falls, IL; married for 10 years to Karla, 2 sons - Owen (3) and Evan (1)
Working for Walgreens in management for 10 years
SINCE GRADUATIONMission trip to Costa Rica and 2 cross country motorcycle trips on my Harley.
FUN FACTSChicago Bears fan and enjoys running and participating in road races — running 10Ks and I plan on doing first my first half marathon in 2011.
MARK BETTINGERPERSONAL INFORMATIONAfter HS graduation, I attended EIU studying
Biology and Chemistry. After my Junior year, I transferred to Illinois State University to study Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science.
During that time, I did my laboratory internship at Advocate Trinity Hospital in Chicago. I graduated in 2001 from ISU and started working as a lab tech
at Christie Clinic in Champaign. I moved from Bloomington in 2002 and have lived in Champaign since. I now work as a consultant for the reference lab sales team at the University of Illinois Medical
Center in Chicago after working at Christie Clinic for 5 years. I oversee the laboratory operations at 60 clients across 3 states while working from home.
During college, I started my own painting business that paid my way through college. I continued to paint houses up until a few years back as a side job.
I've also sold cars on the weekend. I did this for a summer.
I met my wife (Jennifer) at a softball game in 2003. She was the cousin of my softball team coach. She is
still the only girl I've ever dated. We both started out at EIU, both transferred to ISU, without knowing each other. We've lived 10 miles apart from each
other our entire lives. We married in 2004. Bought our first home in 2005. Had Madalyn in 2006. We closed on our new home May 9th, 2009. On May
14th 2009, we had twins, Hannah and Samuel. Jennifer was in the hospital for a week while I unpacked our entire home for when she got home. What a week. She enjoys being a full-time mom.
SINCE GRADUATIONI've been a college ministry pastor on 5 different campuses since high school. I enjoy working with
college students as they decide where to work, where to live, what to study and who to marry. I helped to plant a new campus ministry at ISU in 1999. We still head up the college ministry (Fusion) at our church,
Meadowbrook Community Church in Champaign where I've served on the deacon board for the last 2 years. I've also been on 5 short-term missions trips
here in the US. We have another trip planned that we are heading up with 13 others to North Carolina to serve the underprivileged in August.
We love to travel. We've enjoyed trips to the east coast the most. North and South Carolina have been a favorite. We've been to 43 states now, including Mexico. We're looking forward to our trip to Costa
Rica this fall for our 6th anniversary. We also love to read. Our library has over 1000 volumes in it. I would love to author a book someday. I've kicked
around some ideas, but nothing has materialized yet.
CHRISTINA (SHOBER) BLACKBURNPERSONAL INFORMATIONI live in Charleston and work for Coca-Cola. I have
been married to John Blackburn for 3 years. He is originally from Oklahoma. He is the Men's and Women's Tennis Coach at EIU.

team with 2 of our friends. I have found that running is a lot of fun when you aren't wearing the gold and red P.E. uniform and running circles on a cinder track. I also participate in Relay For Life every year which is a
fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.
John and I are Pittsburgh Steelers fans, and one of our favorite road trips together was traveling to
Pittsburgh for a home game last December.
LESLIE (CHURCH) BUCKI currently live in Jackson, MO, which is five minutes from Cape Girardeau, MO. Mike and I have been married for 10 years and have two children, Austin (7) and Alexa (5). I am a Speech-Language
Pathologist and currently work for an Early Childhood Program serving 3-5 year olds. I particularly enjoy working with individuals on the
autism spectrum and those with various genetic disorders. My parents and both brothers now live in Jackson/Cape. It is wonderful having my children
grow up surrounded by family.
JASON CHASEPERSONAL INFORMATIONI still live in Charleston and work for CropMax. We sell chemicals, fertilizer and other inputs to farmers. Our company purchased the former Trailmobile
facility in Charleston. Not married and no kids.
SINCE GRADUATIONI spent four years in the Marine Corps traveling the world. I graduated from both Lake Land College
and Eastern Illinois University.
FUN FACTSI enjoy golfing, hunting fishing and cooking. I spend the summers helping friends with their pulling
tractors and traveling the U.S.
DEIDRA (POTTLE) CHRISTENSON PERSONAL INFORMATIONCurrently, I am living in Austin, TX with my
husband Marc and our 2 ½ years old daughter, Savanna. For the past year we have been working to build a motion integration company with an
associate from my husband’s previous employment. Our company just went live a few months ago so we
have been pretty busy. In addition to the business duties that I have been able to undertake, I get to stay home and spend time with our daughter.
Previous to Savanna’s birth, I worked for a company
called Abbott Spine located here in Austin. I worked as a customer service representative. This position afforded me the opportunity to learn about spinal
surgery and implants so that I could interface with hospitals and physicians to ensure the correct surgical equipment was available to them.
SINCE GRADUATIONSince graduation, I have lived in various fun and exciting places. I have lived in Utah, Idaho, Hawaii and then Texas and I must say I have enjoyed each
one for its unique beauty. I have been blessed to do a lot of things in the places where I have lived and been able to meet a lot of fun people. I finally
decided to settle down here in Austin, TX where I met my husband Marc.
KRISTI (NEAL) CLAYTONPERSONAL INFORMATIONMarried to Chris Clayton, owner of the Panther Paw Bar & Grill. We have a beautiful 19 month old
daughter named Alexandra. She is the joy of my life. I recently obtained my degree from EIU and I work of the law office of Kevin Geisler as a legal assistant.

from UA and went on to take a position at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. I have published several articles in various scientific journals over the years. But, raising my three
children has been the most fun. Moving to the south over 11 years ago has been the most interesting thing I think I have done. So many differences from home,
but love them all and don’t plan on moving back.
I hope everyone has a great time and looking forward to seeing y’all at the 20 year reunion!
CHRIS COHOONPERSONAL INFORMATIONI am currently living in Normal working on a fine
arts degree at ISU and paying the bills hawking soup and bagels at Panera Bread Co.
SINCE GRADUATIONI joined the Air Force right out of school and served
in Germany and Japan. I got out after 5 years and got my degree in Biblical studies and Christian Education from Grace University in Omaha, NE.
The next few years were spent back in Germany and Okinawa leading the base chapel youth group for American military kids overseas. I always enjoyed
running into classmates like Jason Chase at the chow hall in Okinawa, or Emily Maris in Landstuhl, Germany. I returned last May to head back to school.
FUN FACTSA pregnant goldfish is called a 'twit.'
Honey is the only natural, edible substance that
doesn't spoil.

SAMARA FRAMEPERSONAL INFORMATIONI have been married 3 years to the dashing
acupuncturist Matt Safarik, and we are expecting our first child in October. We live in a gorgeous spot in Topagna Canyon, CA.
I have been working on stage and in film/television in Los Angeles and this summer I have been performing in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” as Puck, “Three Musketeers” as Queen Anne and
recently completed a one-woman show called “Bad Dates”. I also teach/direct children and adults acting, classical text and musical theatre.
FUN FACTSI recently had a lengthy conversation with James Avery (the dad from Fresh Prince!) who happens to be a fabulous Shakespearean actor.
LINDSAY FRANZ-HALLI'm am a very proud mom of two wonderful
children. Landry in 5 1/2 and will be starting kindergarten in the fall. It's very hard for me to believe that she's that old already. My son Cannin is
1 1/2. He is for sure all boy! They both keep me on my toes and I thank God every day for giving me the two greatest gifts. I couldn't ask for two better children.
I have been employed at Proto-Tykes Child Care in Sullivan for the past seven years, where I'm the Family Coordinator. I couldn't ask for a more
rewarding job. My children have gone to the center since they both were 8wks old. There's nothing better then taking your kiddos to work. It does make
things challenging at times, but the pros definitely out way the cons. It will be an adjustment this fall having Landry in Mattoon, and me being in Sullivan. I think honestly I'll have a harder time then
she will. I have no doubt that she'll adapt to kindergarten just fine.
Being from Charleston I always said I would never
live in Mattoon, well guess what....I live in Mattoon. It makes the commute to Sullivan a whole lot closer, yet I'm not too far away from my family in
Charleston.
After graduating from LLC, I became a nanny for a
very prominent family in Evansville, IN. This job offered me many wonderful opportunities. The family enjoyed traveling so I was able to see many different parts of this world including: Africa, New
Zealand, France, Italy, Bahamas and the list goes on. The family had a lot of influential ties too. One of my favorite moments was spending an hour with
Barbara Bush. She was really a very down to earth woman. I nannied for this family for six years. I then decided to come back to Charleston, because the
little girl that I cared for was beginning school full time, and I was ready to start a new chapter in my life.
Well I guess this sums it all up. I look forward to
waking up each day and experiencing life and it's challenges along the way. Life goes by entirely way to quick and I try not to take a day for granted!
TIM GLISANPERSONAL INFORMATIONTim lives in Charlotte, NC. and works for Horace
Mann selling financial services and insurance to teachers and has been married for 3 years to Kelli Glisan. We had our first son, Eli, in April 2010.
SINCE GRADUATIONI was able to fulfill some personal dreams after graduating college. Spent a summer season in Kernville, CA camping while guiding mountain bike
and rafting trips for a great company, Mountain River Adventures (if you are reading this and live out west, check them out. Awesome river and great
riding). Once the season was over I was able to continue the "run" in Copper Mountain, Colorado and spent the season working, living, and playing.
The real world called me back to Charlotte where I have been happily living for about 8 years. I still love to laugh and have fun and and look forward to the years ahead with my new larger family.
FUN FACTSYes, geography classes misguided me, teaching me to pronounce Appalachian incorrectly. It is pronounced
A-puh-lach-in, not A-puh-laysh-in.
LISA (JONES) GUYMONI still live in Charleston with my husband James. We
have been married for 16 years and have 2 sons -

Blaine, 15 and Kaleb, 13. I work at a childcare center in Charleston and have been there for 10 years.
MORGAN HAWKERI live in Louisville, KY and I married to my college sweetheart Robert Raque. We are about to have our
first child any day now (which is why we're not at the reunion). I work as a structural engineer for C&I Engineering designing oil refineries, passing my
professional engineering exam (PE) in 2007. We love to travel and have had the good fortune to visit Mexico, the British Virgin Islands, South Africa and Zambia since the last reunion.
COLLEEN (VANDEVER) KATTENBRAKERPERSONAL INFORMATIONI live in Charleston and teach in the Kinesiology & Sports Studies Department at EIU. My husband of
seven years is Mark and we have two children: Sophie, 5 and Grant, 4.
SINCE GRADUATIONI continue to run and have participated in a few races these past few years - very fun for me! I ran my first 1/2 marathon last spring. At EIU, I instruct within the exercise science area, teaching fitness-
related classes. It keeps me busy, but I really enjoy it.
KRISTI (BEAULIEU) KECKMarried to Larry Keck for 12 years. Two sons together, Josh, 12, and Sam, 7. Two stepdaughters, Nikki, 21 and Danni, 17. Nikki returned home last
fall from deployment to Afghanistan with the National Guard. Larry is still leasing Jerry’s Pizza as he has for the last 13 or 14 years. I still work at EIU in the business office and am slowly, but surely,
completing my accounting degree.
I guess that’s all. I haven’t done many “exciting” things since graduation. My life is pretty ho hum.
CHRISTY KILGORE-HADLEYWORK STUFFI graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a
degree in journalism then proceeded to despise working at a newspaper so I ended up a graphic designer back at Eastern. Currently I do mostly web
design work, as well as recruiting publications and the social networking for the University (which is my excuse for being on Facebook so much).
COOL THINGSI got married to Brent Hadley in 2001, and when he lets me out of the pit in the basement he seems pretty nice. We have 2 children (Ethan, 8, and
Norah, 5) who I love more than anything because they make me laugh while simultaneously questioning why anyone would ever reproduce at all.
FUN FACTSIt took me way longer than it should have to get this booklet in correct alphabetical order. I put all the funny stuff my kids say at ckilgore.tumblr.com.
COLBY KRUSEPERSONAL INFORMATIONI am a Senior Marketing Analyst at Health Alliance
in Champaign. My wife Amy is an assistant coach for the University of Illinois Women's gymnastics team.
We have 3 children - Jayda is 6, Londyn is 4, and Ryder is 2.
SINCE GRADUATIONWe have moved across country 4 times since getting
married - from Nebraska to Arizona. Then from Arizona back to Nebraska. Then from Nebraska back to Arizona. And from Arizona to Illinois. We've
been in Illinois for 4 years now, which is our longest time in any state so far. Is that exciting or ridiculous?
FUN FACTSAmy was named the National Assistant Coach of
the Year in women's gymnastics in 2009 after helping lead the Illini women to their first NCAA Championships appearance in school history, and
breaking every team team and individual record that season.
I have zero abilities as a handyman, but was able to put up a fence at our house (with some assistance
from friends). It wasn't fun at the time, but it is a fact.

the same weekend I went on my first blind date with Raj. It was a good weekend.

because I love El Rancherito too much. Plus Charleston rocks.
DANA (SPRINGER) KWARTENGPERSONAL INFORMATIONI currently live in Florissant, MO a suburb of St. Louis. I work for RGA Reinsurance Company in
Chesterfield, MO in the IT Department as a Senior Support Center Coordinator. This September I will have been there for 3 years. I married a man named
Kenneth Kwarteng. He is originally from Ghana, Africa. My husband and I just celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary. We have 1 child named Justin, he is 6 years old. Ken is currently going back to

compete in the Area 11 District Track Meet. We are very proud of him.
SINCE GRADUATIONSince high school graduation I attended and
graduated from EIU. This is where I met my husband, however Ken transferred and graduated from U of I. We moved to Florissant, MO after
graduating college and have been here ever since. My first job after college was working in the Teaching and Learning Department at the University of Missouri – St. Louis (UMSL). I worked

wiener schnitzel. The following fall, I attended Iowa State University where I was active in the Alpha Chi Omega sorority and where I graduated with degrees in both Transportation/Logistics and Production
Operations Management with a German minor. Following college graduation, I moved to Chicago where I started my career at Feeding America, a
non-profit organization dedicated to ending hunger nationwide. I’ve worked my way up through the organization from an assistant to my current role of
Senior Logistics Coordinator. Some of my most memorable accomplishments have been helping supply the victims of Hurricane Katrina food and water to growing our fresh produce program from
10 million pounds a year to over 180 million pounds (4300 semis) a year. So regardless of what some of my smart aleck friends considered to be a degree in
“moving boxes,” my career has turned out to be such a rewarding experience thus far.
FUN FACTSI am a diehard Cubbies fan whose annual bruised
ego is kept intact by the fact I do cheer for a sometimes winning team: say it with me, ILL-INI!!! I love spending time with my family and friends, I
am passionate about traveling and do so whenever I have the chance, volunteering at PAWS a local animal shelter, and I love taking my dog Jasmine for
walks (or rather, she takes me!). Pretty much, I love living life to the fullest and finding laughter in each and every day.
LISA (WHEELER) MARKUSI studied anthropology in college and then used what I learned in residential treatment serving
children and adolescents diagnosed with mental illnesses and developmental disabilities. I've spent the last few years on the other end of the spectrum
supporting college honors students in their creative and scholarly endeavors. I'm also a student again myself, having finally zeroed in on medical anthropology and public health. Happiest news is I
had the good fortune of finding my best partner (Joel) early on. Now we have a riot of a two-year old daughter, Simone, so I won't mind if it takes another
15 years before I finish this round of studies! Sorry to have missed the reunion — peace to you all.
JONICA (CRAFT) MCBRIDEPERSONAL INFORMATIONMy husband, Michael, and I live in Charleston. We
now have four kids, Michaela (9), Makenna (6), Ethan (3), and Miranda (2). I teach full-time in the Mathematics and Computer Science Department at
EIU (as annually-contracted faculty) and Michael is a Computer Network Specialist at EIU. I have currently finished my coursework for a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in
Mathematics Education, from Indiana State University. I am now writing my dissertation, and hope to be finished by Spring, 2011. We are active
members of Charleston Community Church, where Michael serves as a deacon, and enjoy spending time with family and friends who have remained in
Charleston as well.
SINCE GRADUATIONAfter graduation, I attended EIU and ran (and long-jumped) for the Women's Track & Field team. I
enjoyed traveling and competing around the country. My husband, Michael, was a middle-distance runner for the Men's team...that's how we met. Other than
getting married, I'd say the most exciting thing I've done since high school is having kids. They're terrific and we are so thankful for them.
FUN FACTSJuly 16 is my birthday!
KIM (BELLINGER) MILBURNI didn't include any information in the last booklet that was made, so I'll start with when I met my husband, Dan Milburn and got married May 1998. Dan and I lived in an apartment in Charleston. We
welcomed a Daughter in October of that year. We named her Whitney. I became a Stay-At-Home Mother and loved every minute of it. We bought a
home in Brocton, IL shortly after Whitney was born. Our second Daughter, Gretchen was born December 1999. Rachel, our third Daughter joined
our family in April, 2001. We were blessed with three wonderful girls. We lived in Brocton, IL for nine years. In 2007 we found a beautiful, Victorian home in Newman, IL and remodeled it. We have
lived in Newman for almost two years. The girls are 9, 10 & 11 now. They stay busy with their activities.

Whitney is on the Jr. High Basketball team. She's almost as tall as me. She's a very bright, talented girl. Gretchen decided she wanted to work with her Uncle and learn to show cattle. She does a great job
in the show ring as well as in school. She has a heart of gold. Rachel is our spunky one. She wants to play the drums in band this year. She spends most of her
time on my lap when we are at home and that is just fine with me. They have grown so quickly.
I decided to go to school for Cosmetology. I started
at Regency Beauty Institute in September 09 and will graduate next week. I've had the best time learning all about the beauty industry. I'm so excited to see where it goes from here.
Life has been good. We've had hearts full of happiness, eyes full of tears. We've had ups and downs ... ins and outs all while surrounded by
wonderful people and great friends.
Best of life and happy wishes for many more years, class of 1995.
JOSHUA MURPHYAged 33, married to the beautiful Rebekah Murphy. Three children: Rhemee, 7, female; Judah, 4, male;
Aesa, 3, male. Living and working in Charleston for the last 6 years. Previously lived in Colorado, (beautiful) and enjoying being close to family and
friends.
Points of interest: Husband and wife children's ministry leaders, Rebekah is a Jazzercise instructor,
Joshua holds a paralegal certificate, kids are amazing.
Interesting things I've done: climbed a Mayan ruin, saw babies being born, got married, got skinny, got
fat. I regret missing the ten year and cannot wait for the rockin' fifteen year reunion.
MISTI NEALPERSONAL INFORMATIONI live in Charleston with my daughters Baley Grace and Megan Loren Myerscough. I am employed by
the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce as a Disability Resource Coordinator, a grant funded by Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic
Opportunity. I cover a large area that includes
Champaign, Danville, Decatur, Effingham, Mattoon and Olney. My primary job function is to act as a liaison and resource for individuals with disabilities, services providers and business to increase the
economic and employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
SINCE GRADUATIONI attended Lake Land College and graduated with an Associates degree in General Education. Then I transferred to Eastern Illinois University and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary
Education and also have my teaching certificate.
NEAL PERRYPERSONAL INFORMATIONI am still living on the north side of Chicago about a mile north of Wrigley Field in a neighborhood called Ravenswood. I work down town at 10 South
Riverside for Zurich Global Corporate in North America as a casualty account executive. I have been with the same company for almost 7 years and really
enjoy what I do. My family consists of me and my dog, Cody, but I make frequent trips to visit my siblings families and make it back to Charleston to
see mom and dad often.
SINCE GRADUATIONAside from the little jaunt across the pond to Norway right after graduation and the six years
(including grad school) I affectionately refer to as my EIU days, life has been pretty low key. My first two years with Zurich I traveled 100% of the time and
so I got to see a lot of the country I had not seen before which I enjoyed. However, after two years of living out of hotels and suitcases, it is nice to be based in Chicago and have a home.
FUN FACTSIt doesn't matter how far I travel or how large a city I'm in, its funny to me how small the world can be. I
have run into people from Charleston all over the country and made connections with people only later to find out they know someone I know from Eastern or Charleston. So I guess, it doesn't matter
how hard I try, I'll never leave my small town behind which is fine with me.

TARA (HORSMAN) RADDATZI live in Effingham, IL with my husband of (almost) 9 years and my 3 children. Christian (7), Camden
(4), and Tessa (1) keep my on my toes. I'm lucky to get to be home with them for the summer but will head back to Effingham High School in August
where I work as a school counselor. I have just finished my 8th year at EHS. My husband, Jim, is a general contractor and owns his own business in
Effingham. He does new construction and remodeling/additions. Christian and Camden are very competitive and enjoy baseball and basketball. Tessa enjoys chasing her brothers around and
getting into their things.
The majority of my time is spent working and taking care of my family. I do countless loads of laundry
each week, but that's not all that exciting. I have run a marathon and several half marathons, I have completed a masters degree and married the person
that fits me perfectly.
JILL RENNELS-BOWERSPERSONAL INFORMATIONI am living in Charleston with my husband Darin and two daughters Zoe, 8, and Jade, 6 months. I am pursuing my doctorate in Human and Community
Development at the University of Illinois and hope to complete my degree in the fall of 2011.
SINCE GRADUATIONI worked as a flight attendant for American Airlines
for three years. I was able to “escape” Charleston and lived in New York and Chicago and loved it, but came back. I didn’t get the motivation to go to
college until I had my oldest daughter. Meeting my husband and having my kids are probably the most exciting things I have done since graduation. I taught at EIU for two years before going back to
school once again. I loved teaching and I hope to go back to EIU (to teach again somewhere) after I graduate from UIUC.
SHAWNA (WINNETT) RIDGLEYPERSONAL INFORMATIONI'm married to my best friend, Josh Ridgley. We live
in Casey, IL and have three great kids, Racheal (14), Jacob (12), and Quinton (11). We homeschool the
boys and Racheal will be attending public high school this fall. My husband works at the local IGA as the department manager for the Frozen and Dairy sections. I am a stay-at-home mom. Our
family enjoys reading, watching movies, and cheering each other on at various sporting events. All three kids are active in band.
SINCE GRADUATIONWell, I got married and had three kids, so that's been pretty exciting and life changing!! But I'm not sure that's what you're looking for. Our family has
become connected to a non-profit ministry called New Life for Haiti. We spent the month of November 2009 living in Haiti and serving the
people there. We were hoping to go on staff with the organization, but that is not going to happen at this time. We are praying for God to open other doors
for us to minister in that country. Meanwhile, we have been hosting a home church group for the past 3 years and have been active in a couple different traditional churches in the area. Who knows what
God has planned next! It's been a wild ride so far.
ROBIN (DEL REAL) RIVERAPERSONAL INFORMATIONI moved back to California, about 30 miles from San Francisco, shortly after I graduated from U of I in Champaign in 1999. I worked at Fair Isaac
(responsible for the famous FICO credit score) for 7 years. I married my husband, Rodney in 2004. We had our first child, Reyanna in August 2006; at
which time I was able to put my career on hold. Our son, RJ, was born in June 2008. I still enjoy being a stay-at-home Mom, although we do not 'stay-at-
home' all that often ;)
FUN FACTSI married one of my best friends from grade school and live about a mile away from my childhood
home ... full circle!
LAMELLE (RAWLINS) RYMANPERSONAL INFORMATIONI live in New York City with my husband Rob Ryman (we combined our last names from Rawlins and Hyman) and our two daughters, Neshama (5)
and Aliya (21 months).

SINCE GRADUATIONGetting married to my phenomenal partner and becoming a parent are the most rewarding things I've done (and ever will do). I'm currently a full-time
caregiver for my girls while volunteering as a leader of parenting support groups for Attachment Parenting International and writing on my own
website, www.journeymama.net. Since graduation, I have also: breastfed for nearly 5 years; lived in Los Angeles from 2001-04, working for the state senate and then shifting my focus toward women's
reproductive health and becoming a labor support doula; converted to Judaism and lived in Jerusalem during the start of the second intifada in 2000-2001;
produced a CD as part of a Jewish folk band, Ashira (www.ashiramusic.net); and served as the first female student body president of Harvard College, which
I'll admit was rather exciting, even though it's now ancient history.
FUN FACTSAs I contemplate our 15th high school reunion, it
occurs to me how many of us are now parents. I wonder what our high-school-age selves would say to us if they could -- what might they remind us or
teach us in terms of how to parent with compassion and respect for our children's developing selves? I love to talk about fertility awareness, natural childbirth, and attachment parenting. If any of the
above interest you, please feel free to get in touch! Email: [email protected]; Cellphone: 917-902-7307
KENDRA (PICKENS) SCHMIDT I have been married to Adam Schmidt for 11 years.
We have 4 children: Gracie, 9; Adyn, 7; Lydia, 4; and Adelyn, 6 months. We live just north of Evansville, IN in a small town called Haubstadt. We have been in Indiana now for 7 years. I work as
Children and Youth Minister at Bethel United Church of Christ in Evansville. I love being in ministry and definitely love working with children
and youth. I just got back from my annual youth mission trip to the Appalachian Mountains for a week. Adam works in his family business, Westside
Automation. They build automated equipment for Toyota, Caterpillar, Ford, NTN Driveshaft, etc. He is an engineer and oversees most of the business.
Our greatest joy is being parents, we have so much fun with them. We love to travel and vacation as a family. Life is good and we are very blessed!
CATHY QUAST SOWAPERSONAL INFORMATIONI'm still teaching at Eastern Illinois University and
my husband, Brian, and I live in Charleston. We will celebrate our 5 year anniversary at the end of July. We were married two weeks after the last class reunion.
SINCE GRADUATIONI graduated in May 2009 with a master's degree in College Student Affairs from Eastern Illinois
University. My thesis on college student use of Internet communication and cell phone use was awarded the Thesis Award of Excellence from the College of Education and Professional Studies. I also
received the Distinguished Graduate Student award from my graduate department.
FUN FACTSMy husband and I honeymooned at Disney World and stayed at the Grand Floridian, where we had a honeymoon suite with a view of Cinderella's castle from our hotel balcony. On the day that we went to
the Magic Kingdom, we were randomly chosen by a Disney staff member to be grand marshals for the afternoon parade while we were strolling along Main
Street. We were able to ride in one of Walt Disney's personal cars he used to drive around Disneyland as well as Disney World while it was being built. They
also announced our names and home town across the park during the parade procession. It was an incredible experience.
MARK SPANNAGELPERSONAL INFORMATIONI live in Lerna, IL and am the department manager
of the Mattoon Walmart Garden Center. I got married on June 23, 2007 to my wife Catherine. We have two dogs and one cat.
SINCE GRADUATIONI lived in Colorado for a few years after college where I was a sponsored mountain bike racer and a manager at Walgreens. I have travelled most of the

SINCE GRADUATIONAfter graduation (I graduated early) I moved out on my own, went to school and worked. Met my
husband in Mattoon IL, He's from Windsor IL. After a brief romance (6 months.) we got married and I followed him to North Carolina. From North
Carolina we moved to California and from California we moved back to North Carolina. From
North Carolina we moved to Missouri and from Missouri we've moved back to Illinois. Did I mention he's a Marine and has just gotten out after nearly 14 years? It's been nice to be back in the midwest ... it's
been a while!
FUN FACTSFun facts? No not really. Other then having moved 8
times in 13 years. Welcome to the military.
SHAWNA TURNER WEBBI've been with my husband Justin since 1994. We
have two kids, Madison (14) and Tyler (8). I've gotten a Cosmetology Certificate from Lakeland, but have spent much more time as a bartender. My main
focus has been on being an Army wife. My family and I have been stationed in Europe, Ft. Bragg, NC and Ft. Jackson, SC. I have spent the last two years
convincing a Gamer, Teenager and a Drill Sergeant that I AM THE BOSS! We are about to move to Ft. Campbell, KY and become part of the 101st AIRBORNE.
DOUG WITMERI live in Tucson AZ, recently got back from my
second tour in Afghanistan with my A-10 squadron and am now an instructor pilot in the A-10 Warthog. I have been in the Air Force for the last 10 years and
have at least another 2 years in Tucson. The Air Force has been very good to me.
About two years ago I met an incredible woman, Layne Carey, and in April we were engaged. Our
wedding day is set for Sept 5th this year, a primary reason I can't make it to the reunion this time around, but I hope you all have a blast and I am
looking forward to 20 years! (Or earlier if I get my butt back to Chucktown.)
