PRACTICAL WORK/OUTCOMES
1. PRACTICAL WORK (YOUTH AND BUSINESS)
After the events, by the use of our little monthly contributions we started a plastic chair for hire
venture. Some of our girls including the group chairlady (president) started making and selling
shoes while the boys started a carwash business. This event was really helpful.
All the other businesses are still doing well up to now except the carwash venture whereby the
machine developed a very serious technical problem and required a lot of cash to repair .Till
now ,the boys are using the manual wash and most of them are complaining since they cannot
wash as many cars as before.
The money obtained from the venture is saved in order to purchase an electrical carwash
machine other than the useless petrol machine which broke down and its warranty is not
covered here in Kenya.
2. PRACTICAL WORK/OUTCOMES
Peace and Conflict Resolution
The group joined hands with other youths from Mombasa County under the flagship of the yes
youth can Coast and preached peace on a door to door basis and intern the expected chaos
before, during and after the March 2013 polls did not take place. This was the greatest
achievement.
AWARDS
In relation to our activities, just as the CF which was awarded with the SEA AWARD our group ,
Low-level youth Bunge was awarded with a certificate in May 2013 for youth empowerment.
This was on 23rd-may-2013 during the Mombasa County youth s annual delegates meeting.
