Select Accomplishments:o Worked with upper-level administration to provide a series of paid professional

development opportunities by increasing the adjunct faculty budget from $3,000 annually to $40,000 annually.

o Worked collaboratively with department chairpersons and coordinators to develop a feedback mechanism to consistently improve the adjunct evaluation process including a formalized employee recognition program in the form of an annual Outstanding Adjunct Award.

o Led 100+ tutors through a $250,000 budget cut while maintaining quality service and offering transparency and vision to those affected by the cuts.

o Hosted two successful roundtable discussions to address high risk courses with attendance from full- and part-time faculty, advisors, tutors, and administration.

o Engaged in a College-wide collaboration to host the first annual Welcome to Washington event to increase student engagement on a commuter campus.

o Worked in conjunction with the District Office, Director of Academic Support, and tutor coordinator to provide nationally recognized tutor training modules (National Tutoring Association and College Reading and Learning Association [in process]) to tutoring staff.

o Revised tutor and adjunct hiring practices in alignment with Human Resources to increase fairness, decrease potential litigation, and provide administrative support from the beginning of the hiring process.

o Provided thorough documentation and testimony for high-level student and faculty cases involving the Office of Civil Rights, Office of the Inspector General, General Council, Human Resources, Higher Learning Commission, and Disciplinary Committee.

o Partnered with the Academic Affairs team and the institutional researcher to review data surrounding Foundational Studies courses; created and delivered a concise summary of the findings to administration which enabled administration to continue offering those courses in support of the institution’s open-enrollment mission.
