Centerparcs Beauty Specialists visit Yeovil College Aqua Sana visit Yeovil College Level 3 Beauty Therapist learners to build development in career. The visit was designed to inspire the learners, give advice and guidance of a day in the life as a Spa Therapist. Spa Manager and Deputy of Aqua Sana Spa at Centerparcs, Longleat talked about the training provided for treatments, incentives, product rates, commission and progression into the industry from being a Therapist to a Manager, including the professional skills needed within these roles. Jade Dowden, 18, formally of Ansford School, said, ‘As a student I found the visit very useful in terms of professionalism and expectations as a Spa Therapist. The Spa Managers gave us all information to allow us to pursue a career within the industry upon completion of the Level 3 programme. We all found the guests to be very informative and friendly. We are all looking forward to the spa visit. It makes me want to aim high and get a good qualification through college.’ Kadey English, Deputy Aqua Sana Manager at Center Parcs, said, ‘The visit to the college was very beneficial for us and also the students. It is great to showcase Aqua Sana and for the new therapists to potentially have an employer they aspire to work with.’ ‘We have a great relationship currently with Jenny, but we are hoping to become very involved with the students progression at Level 3. With Aqua Sana ever growing we are always looking to recruit new therapists who are interested in working within the spa industry so we hope to gain some new therapists from this exercise. Being an ambassador to the college is an excellent opportunity for us and we are honoured to have been asked.’ Two Level 3 learners, April Sims, 18 and Tylor Lisney, 18 are employed by Aqua Sana after completing their course at Yeovil College. The Yeovil College Level 3 Beauty Therapist learners visit Aqua Sana Spa in Centerparcs at Longleat once a year. This trip includes activities revolving around team bonding.
