Topkapı Palace was home to all the Ottoman Sultans until the reign of Abdulmecid I (1839-1860), a period of nearly four centuries

Topkapı Palace was not only the home of the sultans but also the Empire's administrative center and the seat of its legislative, judicial and executive functions.

Topkapı Sarayı, sadece padişahların evi değil, aynı zamanda İmparatorluğun yönetim merkezi, kanuni ve hukuki görevlerin uygulandığı yerdi.

Ottoman Sultans’ wives and mothers lived in this part of the Palace.

Hurrem Sultan

Harem dairesinin altında İstanbul'un yedi tepesine ulaşan yedi farklı tünel olduğu rivayet edilir.

It is still rumoured that under the Harem part of the Palace, there are seven tunnels which lead to the seven hills of the city.
