X-ray generator Built:

- HV generator (based on hand-made fly-back transformer and voltage multiplier from old TV). Operating at 60 kV, 1 mA

Used:- Dental X-ray tube

Realized: X-ray imaging for artistic purposes

IR camera for an art project

Removed IR cutoff filter from an SLRProduced a Si lens and mounted it into standard Nikon housingWith CCD sensitivity falling after 1000 nm and Si transmission starting just before 1000 nm captured crisp images without need for aberration correction.

Magnetron sputtering setupDIY sputtering setup made from kitchen ware: a glass boll, a frying pan, the seal is made of cookingsilicone mat. The pass-through high voltage is made of ceramic tube seal with epoxy. Only the vacuum in this set up comes from a lab-grade double stage rotary vacuum pump.

Realized: silver coated lens made with ring-shaped magnet and a silver coins as the target, Ar for sputtering, and high voltage generator (hand made) with resonant frequency 60 kHz @ 2kV with nominal power 400 W.

Thermo-acoustic generator:

High voltage generator [project at Neqlab Research BV]Built solid state pulses generator using Mosfet in series/parallels configuration with synchronized gate triggering. Proprietary technology was developed to achieve high speed (10ns) gate triggering pulse with galvanic isolation in between serial stages with sub-nanosecond synchronization.

Realized first prototype:- output voltage 4 kV- rise time 15 ns- fall time 30 ns- output impedance 75 Ohm- max operating frequency 1kHz

Realized pulse amplitude 10 kV in the second prototype with similar layout and other specifications.

AoA mechanical actuator [project at Neqlab Research}Neqlab BV has rented the biggest wind tunnel of TU/Delft for a week to test flow re-attachment over a light plane wing via plasma shock-wave turbulization. Available wing mounting frame proved inflexible in adjustment of angle of attack. Produced a solution for remotely controlled actuator in two days (from conception to wing mounting).
