GENERAL PRODUCT INFORMATION:

Report Summary

All applicable tests according to the referenced standard(s) have been carried out.

Product Description

The PS3-2-1 is a powered speaker system that consists of the following: Left Center / Surround speaker Right Center / Surround speaker Bass speaker which also houses the power supply and amplifier boards SELV, low power Interface module with battery powered remote. The remote was separately investigated to the requirements of IEC 60825.

Model Differences

For the PS3-2-1: The 100V does not use an IEC 60127 approved fuse, it uses a MITI approved fuse which is acceptable for JP. This unit is turned ON by the use of a data cable. The 220-240V version has a power switch. For the PS3-2-1 II: There are 3 different versions to this system. The 100V and 120V units use the same transformer and have no power switch. This unit uses the same fuse

for Japan as the PS3-2-1. The 220-240V unit has a power switch. The 115/230V unit is a dual voltage unit with a voltage selector switch. This unit is turned ON by the use of a data cable. No power switch is provided for this unit. For the PS3-2-1 III: This model is identical to Model PS3-2-1 II except for model number only. CineMate digital home theater speaker system: This model is similar to PS3-2-1 II except for a new I/O board, minor changes in secondary circuits and the addition of an interface module. This unit comes in 120V, 115/230V and 220-240V CineMate series II digital home theater system: This model is similar to PS3-2-1 except it employs a switching power supply instead of linear and a revised I/O board. CineMate GS series II digital home theater system: This model is similar to CineMate series II digital home theater system except for remote control and satellite speakers.

Additional Information

This report is a reissue of CBTR Ref. No.: E176413-A31-CB-1, CB Test Certificate Ref. No. US/13959C/UL.
