Cat Boarding Dog Boarding

1. All pets boarding at Sunset Blvd Animal Clinic must be vaccinated by a licensed veterinarian. If proof of vaccination can be provided for each pet, no additional vaccines will be administered. If such proof cannot be provided, a SBAC veterinarian will do an exam and will administer all required vaccines at the owner’s expense. Vaccines that have been administered by a non-veterinarian will not be accepted.

Must be current on Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, Canine Influenza H3N8, Canine Influenza H3N2, Bordetella vaccines (Bordetella every 6 months, recommend vaccines be current at least 14 days prior to boarding arrival date)

Must be at least 16 weeks of age and have received (1) Rabies vaccine and (2) FVRCP vaccines (2nd FVRCP vaccine must have been given at or after 12 weeks of age)

Must be at least 16 weeks of age and have received Rabies, Canine Influenza H3N8 (2), Canine Influenza H3N2 (2) Distemper/Parvo (3), Bordetella vaccines (2nd Distemper/Parvo vaccine must have been given at or after 12 weeks of age, Bordatella every 6 mos)

2. Sunset Blvd Animal Clinic (SBAC) is a “flea free” boarding facility. If live fleas or ticks are found, an additional treatment will be administered at the owner’s expense.

3. Your pet’s safety and comfort is important to us. We have ample bedding, leashes, and personalized identification collars for their stay with us. Please do not leave your pet’s personal belongings for we do not guarantee they will be returned to you.

4. There is no additional charge to administer medication to regular boarders. Clear and concise instructions must be provided, and please bring original container of medications. Ample quantities of medications or special diet must be provided to the clinic. The veterinarian on duty may elect to refill any medications at owner’s expense to ensure the pet has enough for the duration of their stay. If no food is presented at check-in, pets will be fed adult dry food.

5. There is a higher daily rate charge for boarders requiring extra care for conditions such as seizures, diabetes, heart disease, or any other medical condition requiring additional medical care or specialized supervision by the hospital team members. Any new client with a pet requiring boarding with extra care or veterinary services during their stay must establish a veterinarian-pet-client relationship prior to their pet boarding. If a doctor’s exam has not been performed and documented by a SBAC veterinarian in the past 12 months for the pet needing extra care boarding, an exam will be performed upon admission and the exam fee will be charged to the client’s account even if the pet has met all the vaccine requirements.

6. Boarding is charged per day, not per night, because all pet care occurs during the day. There is always a charge for the day of check-in regardless of the time of check-in. The check-out time is at 3pm each day, and if the pet is checked out after 3pm, another full day of boarding will charged at check-out. Check-out prior to 3pm will results in no-charge for the day of check-out. Pets boarding 2 weeks or longer require a full deposit at check-in. Pets boarding 4 weeks or longer require approval prior to check in and a full deposit at check in from the Practice Administrator or Hospital Director.

7. Charges for services, medications, and supplies are due upon discharge. Payment can be made by cash, check, or credit card. If you neglect to pick up your pet or make arrangements to extend boarding and, we are unable to contact you with reasonable effort, pets are considered abandoned after 10 days. If abandoned, we reserve the right to make arrangements for the pet as we deem necessary.
