Thank you for joining us at the Artomobilia!

Since 2008, the Carmel Artomobilia has provided a unique experience for automotive

enthusiasts from around the Midwest to enjoy an eclectic collection of automobiles and

exotic motorcycles, all nestled in and around the fine galleries, restaurants and retail shops of

the Carmel Arts & Design District.

This year you’ll enjoy twenty-five judged classes and fifteen enthusiast corrals hosting

nearly 400 vehicles ranging from Italian motorcycles to Classic Cars to European Sports Cars

to Muscle Cars to Super Cars. In addition, you’ll enjoy a collection of hand-selected original

and specialty Ford Mustangs as we celebrate the “50 Years of Mustang.” While our judging

teams will evaluate and select “Artomobilia Best in Show”, “Artomobilia Penultimate”, and

“Artomobilia Best in Class” winners from the entrants in our judged

car classes during our Awards Ceremony that begins 3:30pm, our

primary objective is to simply enjoy and indulge in nearly 100 years

of automotive art and design.

The Artomobilia represents a labor of love for all those involved.

I would like to personally thank the members of the Artomobilia

Committee, Class Judges, and Event Volunteers who have contributed

their time and talent to assemble and present this outstanding

collection of cars. Equally, I would like to also thank the many

exhibitors that choose to display and share their beautiful cars with

us… and no-doubt create new car enthusiast in the process.

Building on that, I would like to thank the many sponsors that

make this event possible and open to everyone in the community. Most notably, our partners

at ADESA, the Carmel Arts & Design District, IU Health North Hospital, and Klipsch… in

addition to the many local automotive product and service organizations that sponsor our

classes and corrals. I would encourage you to seek-out these organizations and support them,

as they are instrumental in assuring on-going quality and sustainability of our community

event.

Finally, a special thanks goes to the City of Carmel, the Carmel Arts & Design District

and the nearly 100 galleries, designer showrooms, retailer shops, restaurants and business

in the district for hosting the Artomobilia over the years. It has provided an unmatched

environment for presenting an outstanding collection of cars.

Enjoy,

John Leonard

KAR Auction Services, Inc. (NYSE: KAR) may be one of the best-kept secrets in Indiana.

Headquartered in Carmel, Ind., KAR employs more than 1,000 employees in the Indianapolis region, and more than 12,000 across North America.

So what is KAR Auction Services? Simply put, KAR operates used-vehicle auction services. It is the parent company for a group of businesses that provide technology and logistics for the used-vehicle industry. KAR operates in the business-to-business space, working directly with used-vehicle sellers across North America and used-vehicle buyers worldwide.

Local leaderKAR takes its responsibilities as

a positive and productive corporate and civic citizen in the Indianapolis marketplace seriously. The company makes a strong efort to employ locally, and ofer jobs in many diferent disciplines. In an increasingly tech-savvy and fast-growing Indianapolis region—with the city outpacing national numbers for new tech jobs 3:1 in recent years—KAR is committed to integrating technology throughout its business processes and its product oferings. The company is also one of the largest IT employers in the state.

In an industry driven by healthy competition, KAR ofers customers what no one else in the industry can—a collaborative model of complementary business units and seasoned professionals.

KAR Auction Services part of Indianapolis economy, communityThese professionals remain the key to KAR’s ongoing success. KAR recognizes the diference that a single individual can make for the company and its customers alike, and makes smart stacng decisions as a result.

Community callingOne of the core pillars of the KAR

organization is giving back—KAR believes in supporting the communities in which its employees live and work. KAR was recently recognized with the United Way of Central Indiana “Company That Cares” award for the consistent contributions the organization makes as a result of donations and fundraising events. In addition, KAR employees collected 6,800 food items and $1,000 for Midwest Food Bank during the company’s annual Battle of the Floors competition. Most recently, KAR put the pedal to the pavement to support the American Diabetes Association’s Tour de Cure event in Indianapolis with 16 riders tackling the bike race. The KAR team collectively raised $130,000 for the cause, following in the footsteps of CEO Jim

Hallett, who was named the top individual fundraiser in the nation, independently raising more than $110,000.

And leading by example doesn’t stop there. Several members of the KAR leadership team are actively involved in local nonprofits—

from the American Red Cross of Indianapolis and Meals on Wheels to Junior Achievement, the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes event, United Way and the Indiana Repertory Theatre.

Business basicsKAR was recently ranked as the 15th

largest publicly traded company in the

state on the Indianapolis Business Journal “Largest Indiana Public Companies” list. It is also a FORTUNE® 1000 company, a ranking of the 1,000 top companies in the United States based on revenue.

KAR has three core business units: ADESA, Insurance Auto Auctions (IAA) and Automotive Finance Corporation (AFC). ADESA is a wholesale, used-vehicle auction operation with 65 locations and a complete online auction platform. It works mainly with major vehicle manufacturers, car dealers, banks, and finance, fleet, lease and rental companies. IAA is in the salvage side of the auction business,

dealing with damaged cars being sold for recycling, dismantling or repair. It has a hybrid auction model with 166 locations and an online platform, and works with insurance companies, fleet, lease and rental companies. And, AFC, with 107 branches, provides inventory financing and numerous businesses services to the company’s auction customers.

Other companies in the KAR group provide a wide range of ancillary services, such as repossessions and repairs, transportation, warranty and inventory services. KAR’s ability to deliver all of these diferent services diferentiates it from other businesses in the used-vehicle auction industry. It also provides KAR with natural ofsets as industry conditions fluctuate. And, along with the corporate headquarters in Carmel, Ind., there is an AFC location in Plainfield, Ind., an ADESA auction in Plainfield, Ind., and an IAA salvage auction in downtown Indianapolis. So while KAR is a national company, it has a strong local presence.

Employer. Corporate citizen. Innovator. Local leader. KAR Auction Services is a strong and dedicated part of the Indianapolis economy—and community.

KAR Auction Services collected more than 6,800 food items for charity last year during the company’s annual holiday food drive for local families.

Team KAR was Indiana’s largest fundraising team, collecting more than $130,000 for the American Diabetes Association’s 2014 Indiana Tour de Cure.

ADESA, part of the KAR Auction Services group of companies, operates 65 wholesale vehicle auctions across North America.

Art With a Heart was born out of several women’s compassion and desire to serve those less fortunate. The story begins with Carol Conrad, who long dreamed of oRering art classes to children in need. Conrad, who has a BS in Education, became a teacher with a desire and hope of providing a quality education to all children, regardless of their background. She taught for many years in both private and public schools. In 1990, she opened Kaleidoscope of Art, an art studio for children out of her home. By doing this Conrad was able to pursue her passion of teaching art while also remaining at home with her children.

Conrad continued to teach but held fast to her dream of bringing art to those less fortunate. When those teachers she worked with began to individually suggest she do what she had dreamed of for so long, she took it as a sign. With the support and faith of those around her, Conrad took a leap of faith and founded Art With a Heart.

Since 2002, Conrad and her crew have touched the hearts and

Art With a Heartlives of thousands of children. In its initial year, Carol and her six teachers led 114 at-risk children through one week of summer art camp. Six short years later, Art With a Heart serves well over

1,200 youth each year through Honors art classes, after-school programs, Kindergarten classes and week long summer camps.

While Art with a Heart is proud to give children the joy-filled experience that comes from creative expression, the mission goes much deeper. Our programs uniquely integrate and reinforce academics within the artistic experience. We strive to teach skills that benefit children in both school and life. Lesson plans are designed to encourage critical thinking and build problem-solving skills. Curriculums include state-mandated educational standards. High teacher/student ratios (1/12) combined with numerous volunteers help us provide the attention

our students need. Art With a Heart positively impacts the lives of thousands of children, and thereby builds better communities through art, education and love.A job well done

The Carmel Artomobilia is designed to celebrate automotive art and design, and there’s no better way to do celebrate this than to highlight nationally recognized, as well as up-and-coming, artists and their work.

The Artomobilia commissioned Tom Havlasek to design a distinct set of paintings that highlights both the Featured Marque for 2014 and the landmark “arches” within Carmel Arts & Design District. In his unique form, Tom perfectly captures the essence and beauty of the 1967 Ford Mustang specialty car, the Shelby GT500.

Tom Havlasek ArtBorn in Brno, Czech Republic, Tom has been

passionate about motor sports from an early age. As a child, he grew-up near the Brno Circuit, where he and his father spent nearly every weekend together at the track enjoying the atmosphere of both the race course and the races. Twenty-five years later, Tom still loves it. See more of Tom’s work at: www.facebook.com/tomhavlasekart
