TRANSCRIPT

  • Back in 2010, during my early years of running, I would wake up at 3am on

weekends and drive to Clark with my friends to train for my first few

ultramarathon races. I always enjoyed running on those nicely paved tree-

lined roads and wide highways which is a mix of flat and rolling terrain; not to

mention the wide choices of restaurants in the area. The idea of having an

ultramarathon race in Clark has always been in my mind.

Having raced various distances from 5Ks to 200K, I have nurtured the

intention to pay it forward to the community that has helped me sustain

my love for running; a community that is a mix of aspiring and seasoned

ultramarathoners. It is a joy to be able to gather everyone in an 18-week

journey that culminates in their first or nth ultramarathon road race on

September 5 in an ideal venue. We enjoyed the opportunity to share our

own experience; invite professionals and experts to help us learn more about

    running, cross training, yoga, hydration and nutrition, gears, among others;

and prepare for the race itself. We hope to give everyone an experience that

will be challenging yet enjoyable and memorable.

This would not have been possible if not for the help of our friends,

supporters, media partners, sponsors and our race challengers.

Welcome to Cardimax-Clark Ultramarathon! (Cheering you on the sidelines

and wishing I were racing!) TIN FERRERA #RUNSIMPLE

    Welcome to the Cardimax-Clark Ultramarathon!

I have raced a couple of road and trail ultramarathon races, both here and

abroad and has been organizing races as part of my passion. Together with

the organizing team and our mentors, we bring together different

perspective and expertise, aiming to provide an extraordinary race

experience on the roads of the Clark Freeport Zone.

The Cardimax-Clark Ultramarathon race will be tough yet unforgettable. We

want our runners to dig deep and explore the innate dormant strength in

them. We want everyone to experience the special camaraderie and

friendship among each competitor, volunteers, race officials and spectators.

Thank you for joining the first edition and Congratulations!

  • There could not have been better timing for Cardimax to partner with Clark Ultramarathon on its initial undertaking. We decided last year to re-launch the brand in 2015, and this involved logo, label, and packaging

makeovers, but we wanted to do more than our usual promotion to doctors as a supplement for cardiac and

geriatric patients. We knew that the product had more to offer and more markets to open up: we ourselves at

Integrated were consumers and believers of Cardimax and wished more people would share the benefits with

    us.

I have known Tin Ferrera for over a decade, years before she entered the running scene. I have witnessed her

progress in and sincere dedication to the sport, which is why supporting her and Atty. Jons venture in race

organization was an easy decision. It was not just a synergy of purpose (promoting health) but a synergy of

ideals (raising the integrity and quality of races, promoting local tourism and socio-civic interests). Thus, the

idea of doing more and doing it better was an exact fit for Cardimax.

L-Carnitine has been recognized as a weight loss supplement, but we want to make it known that it is more

important than that. It helps our body function the way it should: it is necessary to transport fat into the

mitochondria of the cells to produce energy. Whether it is energy for a sport or our simple daily activities,

energy for a sick or recovering patient, energy for the elderly, Cardimax helps create it naturally and

efficiently. Cardimax Harness your own energy!
