Blue Slip Inspection
A blue slip is an unregistered vehicle safetyinspection report, issued by an AUVIS, whichproves a vehicle has passed the requiredroadworthiness, design and identity standards.
This is used:
To establish an unregistered vehicle registration.When an interstate vehicle is registered in NSW for the first time.Secondhand vehicles (including interstate and imported vehicles) may be selected for an additional inspection bythe RTA's specialised vehicle identity unit.
Pink slip
This is a safety inspection report that proves your car is roadworthy. All vehicles more than three years old requirea safety inspection as a condition of registration renewal. Your registration renewalnotice will advise you if your vehicle needs an inspection. To get the pink slip, youneed to take your vehicle to an Authorised Inspection Station (AIS).
ESafety Check
This is a pink slip that has been sent to the RTA electronically. This allows you torenew your Rego online or by phone. You must visit an eSafety Check InspectionStation to get your eSafety Check.
White Slip
An inspection report rejection slip. It details the repairs required before a vehicle can be registered. Once the repairsare carried out and you have the vehicle reinspected, the vehicle will receive a pink or blue slip.
