EDITORIAL NOTE

In our view, the original photographer is one who, by pursuing his aesthetic and narrative project to its utmost limits, succeeds in drawing us into his own private universe, and, in his own way, touches on

the universal. If only each portfolio, just like a novel or a film, while bewitching us with its beauty, could relate a story so powerful that it changes the course of our life. Concept Mania, in its online debut venture, seeks to develop a formula reflecting our ideas on photography – not that we pretend to be representative of all that is going on, and that forever wavers between the formal research that we consider as the most fulfilling, and a personal, subjective pictorial narrative of the true world, taking us way beyond the conceptual or plastic fashions which do not really constitute a sign of modernness. When we approached individual photographers across the globe, the question, “Is photography art?’’ was answered in the affirmative, and critics became inter-ested in photography as a full-fledged means of creative expression. Centres, institutions, exhibitions, books, magazines, festivals have sprung up all over the world, providing forums where photographers could meet each other to exchange their ideas and compare their work. Concept Mania is open to every genre, be it fashion, jour-nalism, portraits or landscapes. The magazine’s priority is to highlight the impact of photographs, underscore their formal and plastic autonomy, and provide them with the ability to exist as works of art in their own right, rather than merely as anecdotes. After years of hegemony, Concept Mania is eager to find out what is going on in other parts of the world. The magazine has tried to show the richness, original-ity and variety of hitherto unknown work. Exchanges, disagreements and intermingling have elevated the art, underscoring the joy of being a photographer through a suddenly regained visual sensuality. Our aim is to pay tribute to the vision of photographers, to understand how they operate and to enjoy their encounters, be they fortuitous, sought-out or simply made up from start to finish.

Capture Mania is a photography magazine that’s been developed not only for photo enthusiasts but also for those who have a taste for capturing any modes of beauty, art and creativity. It has been designed mainly for those who want to take a deeper look at the history of photography and

have a modern agenda. It’s not just another addition to the wonderful world of online photography magazines but a complete package where a viewer can find the photography of his own choice, such as landscape, portraiture, macro, prod-uct photography, glamour photography and many more. The team behind this publication has tried to showcase photography on a different level keeping just one agenda in mind - to rest this unique kind of art into its rightful place on the pedestal. Another purpose behind this online publication is to allow the photog-raphers to knock on their creative instincts and share their art and talent with the rest of the world. Nevertheless, it’s an opportunity for reknowned as well as not- so-famous photographers to submit their work and start building a name for themselves.

industry. Yoshihiko mentioned “Creat-ing sounds and images are very similar for me. As a sound designer it would be a sound, as a photographer it would be an image. The most important thing for the both is finding a gharmony”. The only difference between the two is its appearance: waves or pixels. Right now Yoshihiko is focusing on BW fine art style. However Yoshihiko is a big fan of color photos and never hesitates to work with colors.

T he uniqueness of this insect are physical , they have a similar elongated body with a stick , and her body shape

resembling a leaf is torn or cut . These insects themselves eat plants that are in trees or bushes . They are active at night , they were looking for food and moving . Their bodies were appar-ently like leaves can help them to avoid and deceive predators that will eat them . Uniquely , this insect goes by way of tossing and turning their bodies just like the wind.




As a Photo hobbiest, all I ever wanted was a selfish inten-tion of searching a means

of relieving and unwinding myself off from the completely corrupt-ed world of tenses and pressures present in my daily routines. At first, i was even ridiculed that it adds up more pressures and ten-sions learning this Art of Photogra-phy, the post processing and the multi series of tutorials to grasps at once eagerly wanting to have a good and fine one, so to speak. S ince I was a child I always love the world of photography and art in general. Spent hours in the darkroom revealing those

old negative. After my time in the Faculty of Fine Arts I focused more on painting and left a little side hobby. It was not until recent years that I took up this old passion, but this time with a critical sense that it gives you maturity.

I and many other who continue to inspire me today. I discov-ered Michael Kenna and Rolfe Horn and began to under-stand what photography could be.

I became frustrated with my limitations and stopped shoot-ing altogether for a couple of years but again recently and after moving to Australia my passion has been rekindled. I enjoy experimenting with long exposures and living on the coast obviously lends itself to exploring seascapes and beach life in particular'.

Q- Describe your photographic style ? My personal style is my unique and personal way of seeing my subjects and making my work be the extension of my personality. My personal style is a combination of choices of equipment, subject, approach and light. My equipment: an advance 35mm full frame camera with a fast zoom lens. My approach: camera is used handheld, spontaneous pho-tography moving around fast and working the subject from multiple angles. My subjects: people are present in most images. I use available light with a few exceptions.

Q- What type of photography do you prefer to do mostly ? Dance, portraiture and lately street photography.

Q- Do you believe in this quote " Inspiration exists , but it has to find you working " ?Absolutely. The famous saying from Pablo Picasso tells me not to wait for inspiration but to get in motion and let inspiration find you in action.

Q- Color vs Black&White . Why one over the other ? Black and white are the colors of photography. In many cases color in a photo serves only as a distraction from the message you want the image to convey. I prefer black and white images for their tendency to distance the subject matter from reality. Humans see the world in color, and a rendition of the world in monochrome makes us pause and look closely. Removing color from a picture helps the viewer to focus on a subject’s emotional state.

Q- What was your scariest moment as a photographer ? When my only camera broke during a dance performance.

Q- What is the most challenging part about being a photogra-pher for you ? The hardest part of being a photographer is selling myself. It just doesn’t come naturally to me. I would love to just let the work speak for itself, but that sometimes doesn’t really get you far.

Q- Who’s work has influenced you the most ? Not one person but the work of many. I spend hours every day looking at the artwork of many different photographers.

Q- Have you had any formal training ? No. Practice makes perfect. Shoot, shot and shoot. Learn the basics from on-line training. Study the photography of others, particularly the “masters.” Learn what it is about their work that makes it so good. It isn’t about copying them but incorporating their tried-and-true techniques into your own style.

Q- Do you have any advice for people hoping to consider photography as a career ? To succeed as a professional photographer you must have passion, deter-mination, patience, a thick skin, and a lot of networking and business skills. Professional photography requires a lot of business networking nowadays. Stick to what you like, don’t try to copy others, find you own style and become the best. Become so good you can’t be ignored anymore.
