Lieutenant Governor’s Message

Our next Division Council

Meeting will most likely take

place around the second

week of September! I’d like

to give you time to get some

work done with your clubs,

so if you need any help,

please let me know. Con-

tact me if you have any

questions!

Do not forget to send monthly reports!

These are one of the most important

things your club can do for me. Even if

your club hasn’t done much yet, it’s better

to leave it blank than to not send it at all!

Make sure to send in your club’s contact

information! If you are a president, I’ll

also be needing your phone number so I

can arrange a phone call later this month.

Updates + Information

Contact Information

Please send me the contact infor-

mation for all of your club’s mem-

bers! This was due a long time ago,

and many clubs are still very late.

This is all extremely important, as I

need this information to be able to

include your club in division/district

operations and update you on the

state of the division. Forms can be

found on the division website.

District Committees

Capital District now has openings

for club members in District Com-

mittees. If you are interested in pos-

sibly joining one, please contact me.

Feel free to email me with any ques-

tions about the duties of committee

members.

Division Mascot Recruitment

Divisions in the Capital District are

officially allowed to have mascots. If

you have any ideas for what Divi-

sion 13’s mascot should be, please

send them to me. Division mas-

cots can be absolutely anything.

We can possibly use our mascot

to represent the Division on t-

shirts or at DCON. We will vote

on a mascot at a later date.

Please get ready to start recruiting

new members when school starts.

You can try holding a large social

gathering or other sort of event to

entice newcomers to join your

club. It’s also helpful to set goals

for your club, and work together

with your officers to reach these

goals. I’ll always be available if you

need help, and you can consult this

page for more ideas: http://

SLP Subcommittee Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF

Key Club International is now ac-

cepting applications for the Elimi-

nate Project SLP Subcommittee. If

you are passionate about the Elimi-

nate Project, please consider apply-

ing. If you have any questions,

please contact me. Application can

be found here: http://goo.gl/

With Halloween only a few

months away, consider doing a

related service project to help sup-

port UNICEF and the Eliminate

Project. You and your club can

collect money door-to-door, hold

a themed dance or party, or other

similar events. You can find more

information here: http://goo.gl/

FALL RALLY October 3-5 2014 October 18 2014

There will be another Key Leader week-

end this fall at the West River Center in

Churchton, Maryland! I attended the last

one in Williamsburg, and I am planning on

attending this one too! Key Leader is a tru-

ly life-changing experience where you

can meet Key Clubbers from across the

district and learn about how you can bet-

ter yourself and become a better leader.

While I was there, I had an incredible

amount of fun and made tons of new

friends. I highly recommend that you con-

sider signing up, and I hope to see you in

Maryland! You can register and pay

online on the Key Leader website.

Come join the District for an exciting day

at King’s Dominion! We’ll be arriving early

to help set up for a quick program, and

then you’re off to explore and have fun

with your fellow Key Club members! This is

a great opportunity to bring friends who

are not sure about joining Key Club and

convince them to join the Capital District

family! The cost of this trip will be $35 for

anyone who registers with the district.
