“…Survey Group’s core business philosophy is that projects should be completed safely and
correctly first time, on time, every time. …”
From Survey Groups “Quality Policy”
We are intuitive and progressive in meeting the challenges associated with all projects within the
Construction, Mining, Civil and Marine and Land Development industries throughout Australia.
Survey Group provides a level of expertise and experience which gives our clients the reassurance
that the highest quality standards are met, from inception to completion of all projects.
Exemplary quality of client service and communication is core to Survey Groups philosophy, with
employees and management sharing the same beliefs. This is demonstrated in the way projects are
structured to ensure that the company directors themselves have a guiding influence and oversee all
projects.
Our company provides a complete professional service in Project Management, Audit Surveying,
Structural and Mechanical Surveying, Engineering Surveying, Civil Surveying, Bulk Earthworks,
Construction Surveying, Licensed Land Development Surveying, Authorised Mine Surveying,
Terrestrial Laser Scanning, 3d Spherical Camera Asset database, GIS Analysis, UAV airborne
photography and volumes.
Every Facet of our business is guided through our polices, processes and procedures that ensure that
we can achieve our philosophy of our projects being “completed safely and correctly first time, on
time, every time…”

Our Commitment to Quality
Survey Group is committed to providing our client with a quality service.
This is something we hear form every supplier, but what does this really
mean? We see the “5 tick” symbol when a business has “ticked the boxes”
for external certification, but how do you know that it doesn’t just
represent a paper trail?
Survey Group developed its quality system around its core philosophy,
ensuring our employees are provided with the guidance and training to
maintain this philosophy and have the tools anytime they need them
through the innovative and intuitive use of intranet based quality
processes that logically lead our staff down the correct path.
We gained certification with SAI Global, but at Survey Group we believe
that this certification is not the only goal of the process, but a vilification of
our systems and philosophies.
Our Commitment to Safety
Similarly our philosophy towards safety is guided by our core belief
that our staff should “Get Thinking, Get Safe, Get home”.
We support our staff in “getting home” through our stringent
processes, workshops and encouraging our staff to develop our safe
work procedures. After all, who knows best how to safely and
effectively complete a project than the people who are actually
doing it!
In further developing a safe working environment for our staff
Survey Group has partnered with a leading fleet tracking business to
develop a cutting edge automated remote journey management,
and remote worker monitoring systems. This will be available to
vehicles, whether or not they are fitted with GPS tracking devices.
Our health and safety systems are fully certified and monitored by
SAI Global.

MINING
Survey Group is an industry leader in providing surveying information to the resources sector.
Western Australia's mining sector is still a global economic centre. In that pressure cooker of
productivity and development, it is vital that projects are built with sound information right from the
beginning. There's confidence in knowing you have the right intelligence - which is why Survey
Group has been so successful in working with mining projects to deliver services such as:-
Open cut surveying;

3D IMAGE CAPTURE AND ASSET MAMAGMENT
Survey Group’s Spheron Camera is a 360° High Dynamic Range (HDR) camera system and software
package. The camera takes full 360° images in a single scan, meaning that the images are seamless
as they are not stitched together like other panoramic or spherical image systems. The camera’s
applications are varied, from asset management and tracking, to virtual walkthroughs or use of all
light levels in an area for use in image and video modelling and manipulation.
Data is collected and processed from its raw image format and compiled into a standalone end
product “Scene Case”, which requires no additional software and can be easily opened and used on
any PC , or converted to other image formats such as TIFF or JPEG, for use in websites or other
applications.
The Spheron system provides:
360° three dimensional image capture;
Data image processing;
Creation of virtual sites;
Virtual Condition surveys;
Integration between images, GIS, laser scan data and site documentation;
Visual asset management system (Site documentation can be loaded directly onto the
image);
Visual platform for Safety, Maintenance and Training;
Visual and intuitive user interface.

GIS
Survey Group’s GIS specialists can handle all aspects of design, analysis, compilation, management
and maintenance of spatial data in any format to a deployable GIS Database. From initial collection
of spatial information by our team of GIS surveyors, utilizing the latest technology capable of
incorporating both spatial and attribute data at the time of collection, through to audit, quality
control and analysis and finally to transformation into a spatial database for deployment.

UAV AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHY & MAPPING
Survey Group has invested
considerable research and
investigation into this area to
establish solid benchmarks in what
this technology can deliver.
It is a requirement by law that these
pilots are certified by the Australian
Aviation Authority, Survey Group
upholds this through utilising only
certified pilots.
UAV Aerial photography can provide:-
Cost effective feasibility imagery and terrain models for infrastructure and transport corridors;
Ideal for fast economic volumetric surveys for the resources industries;
Baseline data for Vegetation Mapping;
Interval mapping of both the Built and Natural environments to assess impacts of both natural
and manmade impacts, e.g. flood events.
Broad area data capture to large scale detail (feature) surveys (as illustrated above):
30mm per pixel resolution.

UNDERGROUND SERVICE DETECTION & MAPPING
For a long time now the detection, marking and mapping of
Underground Services has required expensive third party service
providers, as well as survey, to complete the task.
With Survey Groups integration of the SPAR 300™ service
detection unit we can now locate, mark up and survey the
underground services at the same time.
Saving you logistical planning, time and ultimately considerable
money in the process.
We can locate services in
inaccessible areas as we do
not need to be directly over
the service being detected, if
fact the service only needs to
be within 3m of the surveyor for us to accurately locate the
service. The system can locate underground power without any
additional equipment! We also have as signal generator known as
a “Sonde” which can then
locate any underground
service where the signal
generator cable can be drawn
or connected to an existing
buried trace or conducting
service.
We can locate:-
Underground Power cables without
“trace”;
Communication lines with trace;
Any Conduits using Sonde Tracking;
Storm or Sewer lines with Sonde Tracking.
We cannot locate:-
Service detection using the “Sonde”
Direct Survey of services without the use of the “Sonde”
7 | P a g e
Underground Water pipelines as they do
not generate a signal themselves and we
are not able to pass the Sonde Tracking
device along the pipe.
