Signature Project 1 – Dahla Dam and Irrigation System

• Why is this an important project for the people of Afghanistan?

– This is important because then the people of Afghani can be saved with new jobs, fresh water, and irrigated land for the farmers. This will promote economic growth for the people in Afghanistan and offer everyone hope for the future.

• What is Canada doing to help? – Find at least 2 pieces of

information to place here.– Canada is providing an irrigated water supply to

a wide majority of the Kandahari population. – Canada is also generated 10, 000 seasonal jobs

for the unemployed people for the Afghani people and those around.

Signature Project 2 – Education.• Why is this an important project

for the people of Afghanistan?– This will be very beneficial for the Afghani

people in the future regarding employment and the financial support of their families.

Signature Project 3 – Polio Eradication

• Why is this an important project for the people of Afghanistan?

– This is important for the Afghani people because with polio being cured, the citizens will have a better chance of living a full healthy life and learn to make a living for their families and for the wellbeing of themselves.

• What is Canada doing to help? – Find at least 2 pieces of

information to place here.– Vaccinating 7 million children before and after

they get sick, including 350,000 in the province of Kandahar.

– Strengthen the delivery of health services in Afghanistan.
