This is the establishing shot for the trailer and the sound accompanying it is a low metal groan of music.This is effective because we can see that in the shot the street is filled with crashed cars and small fires so we know that there is something bad happening and this is emphasised by the music.

The sound over this shot is non-diegetic music where the beats are at the same time as the explosion.This is effective because the music emphasises the explosions as its the same score from the beginning so we are more tuned into the music making the explosion more shocking and exciting.

In this shot the punches from the character Captain America are in time with the music and when the bag breaks at this point we hear the sand spilling out onto the floor.This is effective because the punches from the character almost replace the beats of the music creating more emphasis on the tone and atmosphere. The sound of the sand spilling on the floor also goes in time and almost in place of the music aiding in the emphasis of the character and the atmosphere; the trailer has an overall tense atmosphere.

In this shot there is a low animalistic growl with no music.This is effective because with the darkness of the shot and the only thing we can see is the greenness of the Hulks skin, these details as well as the growling tells the audience that Bruce a.k.a the Hulk is dangerous.

The sound in this shot is of lightening and an electrical buzz.This is effective because it emphasises the god like characteristics of Thor as well as introducing how powerful he is with his hammer.

In this shot, as the name stark lights up, we hear what sounds almost like an aeroplane.This is effective because fans of the superhero genre will know that Stark is Iron Mans name and the sound over this shot links to Iron Man as it is the same sound that he makes when he is flying in his suit.

The sound in this shot is Tony Stark talking.This is effective because the character is asking about his inclusion in the Avengers, allowing the audience into the tensions and feelings of the characters which is an insight to possible situations that might arise in the film.

There is no sound in this shot except a resonating tone from the music in the previous shot.This is effective because in the previous shot one of the minor characters says, I think we need a time out so shot directly afterwards, with no sound, coveys to the audience that there is tension between these three characters, sparking interest in the story.

Over this shot is Bruce Banner saying were not a team along with a low beat.This is effective because it emphasises the tension on the characters faces, and the words were not a team tell the audience that the group is unstable and this leads to enigmas about the film and what will happen in it.
