Mobil Oil Corporation/ Mobil Research and Development Corporation; Paulsboro, NJ 1988 - 2000(Voluntarily separated in the merger with Exxon to help a child with special needs.)

Pilot Plant Engineering “Skills Leader” / Advanced Senior Engineer (title represents additional promotion) Supervise the engineering group in completing approximately 80 projects per year. Hired, trained, and

mentored the on-site Pilot Plant Engineering Services staff. Project Manager or key technical contributor for approximately 50% of the group projects. Key technical contributor in benchmarking and developing Mobil’s “Best in Class”, fully automated pilot

plant facilities. Included benchmarking with Mobil’s overseas joint venture partner. Wrote pilot unit design standards and calculation spreadsheets for unit vent line sizing, rupture disc and

relief valve selection, small-scale pressure vessel design, and beaded heater design. Assisted the Safety Department with PHR training and participated as a consultant in third party audits Designed and reviewed third party pilot plant facilities in support of Mobil’s word wide joint ventures. Personally rated “Among the Best” when Mobil limited this designation to the top 10% of employees.

Alkylation pilot plant located in Mobil’s Paulsboro Refinery. Continuing as on-site Facilities Engineer responsible for all mechanical/electrical unit modifications and extensive formal Management of Change.

Project Manager for a chemical process upgrade of a high temperature fluid bed pilot plant (CT195). Responsibilities included: schedule and budget management, mechanical engineering contractor selection and supervision, electrical engineering design details, and engineering field support.

Project Engineer for the design and construction of three small scale continuous fixed bed pilot plants; cost estimating, P&ID development, vessel design, equipment specifications and purchasing, control valve sizing, relay ladder logic, basic electrical circuit design, DCS configuration, start-up assistance

Quality Chemicals Inc; Process/Plant Engineer; Tyrone, PA 1984 -1988Employer profile: Batch Custom Chemicals Manufacturer for varied pharmaceutical, plastic resin, herbicide, and specialty chemical companies, also providing facilities and technical support for third party pilot plant studies/ scale-up efforts. (Recent corporate acquisition and name change to Albemarle Fine Chemicals.) Project Engineer responsible for customer specified plant equipment modifications and in-house facilities

improvement projects including sales cost estimating, engineering and design, and trades supervision. Process Engineer responsible for product quality and reduce cycle times for on going multi-reactor runs. Production Support Engineer responsible for trouble shooting solids handling, grinding, filtration, dust

collection, heat tracing, water purification, pumping, and temperature control problems. Promoted to Process Engineering Group Leader with only 2 years experience in industry: Hired, trained,

and supervised the Coop Engineers and Associate Process Engineer. Accountable directly to the VP.
