It is with deep sadness and regret that I announce my resignation as Calumet County DisüictAttomey, effective immediately.
I have lost the confidence of the people I represent due primarily to personal issues which have nowaffected my prcfessional career.
I am receiving treatment for these conditions outside the state of Wisconsin, and plan to continuetreatment upon my return. I hope to repair my reputation and resume my legal career.
I offer a sincere apology to my wife, son, and entire family for the embanassment and shame I havecaused. They remain supportive ofmy efforts to seek professional help, and I will be a better personas a result.
I also wish to tha¡k my staff for the many years of support and dedication they have provided.' Finally, my deepest apology to the citizens of Calumet County, who entrusted me for 18 years withtheir support.as District Attomey.
