intROduCing CALOR Established in 1937, Calor has been delivering innovative energy solutions in Ireland for over 70 years. Calor is the leading distributor of LPG in Ireland and is part of the SHV Gas Group. SHV Gas is an independent, family-owned Dutch company and the largest distributor of LPG worldwide, fuelling homes, businesses and vehicles in more than 27 countries.

LPG stands for Liquefied Petroleum Gas. It is a very versatile, portable and manageable fuel that’s a naturally occurring by-product of the oil extraction process. Calor LPG is easily stored and delivered in cylinder and bulk tank form.

As environmentally attractive as this is, we still want to do even better. As a company, we adopt best practice industry solutions, encouraging our suppliers to do likewise. we have a sustainability programme with the primary objective of reducing the carbon emissions of our company by 25% by 2020. under this programme, we have introduced a digital logistics system which greatly reduces the mileage travelled by our delivery trucks each year. This is the first of many new initiatives we are planning as part of our sustainability programme to reduce our carbon emissions.

CALOR CyLindeRs - the veRsAtiLe eneRgy sOLutiOnIf customers wish to use more than one LPG appliance, the ideal solution is Calor Twin Pack Cylinders, complete with an automatic changeover device. • Two 11kg/34kg/47kg propane cylinders are located outside a customer’s home

and piped into their appliances by a recommended Gas Installer.*

• The cylinders are connected to an automatic changeover device, ensuring that customers need not worry about running out of gas.

• when the gas in the first cylinder is empty, the changeover device automatically switches the second cylinder into use.

• meanwhile, an indicator shows customers which cylinder is empty, giving plenty of time to re-order.

* only persons who have successfully completed the appropriate gas installer courses may carry out work on gas installations. unfortunately, Calor cannot be held responsible for the quality or warranty of any gas appliance installation. The contract for this work is between the installer and the customer.
