Mowgli Mentoring Experience: 12-15 April 2012.

Our first programme within Palestine is programme is kindly funded by the Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC). The aim is to support and encourage business success in Palestinian entrepreneurs. Our unique Mowgli Mentoring Experience offers 3,5 -days of intensive learning and relationship building, and support from our expert facilitators. Mentors will receive training and develop a framework to work with a mentee for one year, helping them grow and learn as business owners. Click here to read about

Mowgli mentoring. The mentees/entrepreneurs Mentees will be screened and selected carefully, based on a set of criteria including:

A developed business with a structure and secured funding

trade for at least a year,

commitment to mentoring for one year (minimum 2 hours per month plus the initial 2-day programme)

willingness to pass on the benefits of mentoring when the process finishes.

The workshop Our year long Mowgli Mentoring Experience commences with an introduction to mentoring programme which incorporates mentee and mentor matching, relationship building and the development of a framework by which the mentee and mentor will operate for the remainder of the year long relationship. The first 1 day involves the mentors only, providing them with knowledge and tools to participate successfully in this experience. In the second part of the program, mentors and mentees will be paired

during an accelerated relationship-building activity, followed by one-to-one sessions. The pairs will work on understanding each other while the mentee sets his business proposition; as well as personal development plans coupled with measurable goals. Going forward, each mentee will drive the experience, while his/her mentor will react to the goals and objectives and provide support in achieving them. The outcomes The expected outcomes of this mentorship program are: enhanced chances of business success, guidance during key transitions and decisions in growing a business, understanding the value of mentoring as a leadership development tool, learning the art of working across cultures and/or possible access to new markets. The venue This experience will take place in a (remote & peaceful) resort in Palestine.. Participants will enjoy the amenities of the venue, and some side activities such as walks or visit to local attractions. The Costs All participating mentors are encouraged to make a minimum financial contribution which covers the cost of their participation on the Mowgli programme, and on this unique experience. Generally this contribution covers flights/travel costs and accommodation. Should mentors have difficulty meeting these costs, consideration to a grant being made will be given in exceptional circumstances. Mowgli will discuss each mentor’s contribution individually at the interview stage of the application process.
