CALL FOR BOOK REVIEWS
After a ten-year absence, the Journal of Business Logistics Book Review section is back! The Journal seeks 700 to 1,000 word reviews of recent books on any aspect of logistics or supply chain management (SCM).
Following are some issues or points that could be covered in a book review:
1. Purpose of the book.
2. Intended audience—academic and/or practitioner.
3. Discussion on breadth and depth of topics covered.
4. Fit of the book in the logistics literature.
5. Identification and discussion of the book’s strengths and weaknesses.
6. Primary contribution for logistics theory and/or practice.
7. Recommendation: does the book fulfill its purpose and reach its audience?
8. Reviewer’s thoughts on the main topic(s) covered by the book.
Areview of Designing and Managing the Supply Chain by Simchi-Levi, Philip Kaminsky, andEdith Simchi-Levi is published in the current issue.
