Call for Abstracts Society for Nutrition Education Fourteenth Annual Meeting, San Diego Access to Food August 9-12, 1981 You are invited to present your nutri- tion education program activities and ideas, research, evaluations, techniques, and teaching tools at the 1981 SNE Annual Meeting. You are encouraged to submit papers relating to the program theme, "Access to Food." These papers might describe pro- grams and activities that demonstrate the interrelationships among nutrition, agriculture, land use, hunger, energy, and health. When selecting a designated topic area, please note that there is a special category for these theme papers. FORMATS FOR PRESENTATIONS Abstracts submitted for oral presentation should state ob- jectives, methodology, or techniques used, describe the evaluation component, and contain a summary of the results. Abstracts submitted for poster or audiovisual ses- sions should state objectives, provide background informa- tion on the program or audiovisual, describe the program in which the audiovisual was used, and describe any evaluative information on the use of the program activity or audiovisual. Oral Presentation of Submitted Papers. Fifteen-minute oral presentation and discussion related to designated topic areas. Limit supporting materials to handouts, 35 mm slides, or transparencies. Poster Session. Ninety minutes of visibility to display and discuss information on project activity, design, and eval- uation. Prepare materials for presentation on a 4-foot high by 8-foot wide display board. Audiovisual Presentation. Fifteen-minute presentation of design, use, and evaluation of selected, edited portions of films, filmstrips, slides, cassette tapes, or videotapes. However, acceptance of an abstract by the Abstract Review Committee does not guarantee acceptance by the Journal, nor does rejection of an abstract by the committee necessarily indicate that a similar decision will be reached by the Journal. 1O. Authors or presenters of accepted presentations will be expected to pay personal expenses, including registra- tion, related to the annual meeting. 11. It is the author's responsibility to provide a substitute presenter if the author or the author's original designee is not able to present at the annual meeting. 12. 1981 SNE Abstract Form and AgreementPREPARATION OF ABSTRACTYour abstract, if accepted, will be reproduced from the copy you prepare in the space below. For best results,please follow these instructions for a clean, reproducible abstract.

1. Use an elite type (12 spaces per inch) on an electrictypewriter with a new black ribbon.

2. Correct typing errors with opaque liquid, and use thissubstance to cover smudges as well.

3. Type all copy single spaced. Stay within the printedborder.

4. Begin with the title in all capital letters followed by acomma. For an audiovisual presentation, include date ofproduction, source or production credit, format andlength, cost, and availability.

6. Continue with name(s) and address(es) of author(s).Place an asterisk (.) before name(s) of SNE member(s).Underline the name of the person making the presenta­tion.
