Walking Toward Eternity Christianity is more than a set of beliefs; it is a way of life. Putting our faith into practice...daring to walk the walk...is where we differentiate ourselves. You are encour-aged to attend a live seminar entitled "Walking Toward Eter-nity," at St. Michael the Archangel Parish in Findlay, Ohio on March 8, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Jeff Cavins, creator of The Great Adventure Catholic Bible Study Pro-gram and the Director of Archbishop Harry J. Flynn Cate-chetical Institute, will present this part inspirational talk, part hands-on workshop. Through prayer, reflection, guidance, and the aid of the Holy Spirit, this seminar will introduce to you the spiritual practices that will show you how to engage life's difficulties and advance toward the goal of union with Christ. This powerful seminar will challenge you to put your faith into practice and make real and lasting changes that will help you to become the person you hope to be, drawing you closer to Christ. Dare yourself to walk the walk. Cost is $40 per person (includes materials) or $60 a couple (one set of materials) and lunch. Register at findlaystmichael.org or contact Geri Leibfarth (419-422-2646) by Feb. 28. Email: [email protected] for more information. Jeff is also presenting a free session Friday, March 7, from 7-9 p.m., titled "I'm Not Being Fed."

From the Desk of Fr. Mark

Hi to everyone and I want to let you know that there is life beyond snow. Today I walked for three hours through a beautiful gorge and saw lots of beautiful scenes and wildlife. I picked fresh tomatoes and corn from the garden and will make American style soup for a feast on Monday. I have picked fresh peaches, plums and apples every day. There are fresh oranges and lem-ons in the yard for breakfast. I don't have a sunburn yet, but am working on it every day. Tomorrow I will be milking cows at a friend's dairy. Fishing and a beach house are on the agenda. I just wanted to let you know that despite being in a little heaven here, it's not quite heaven without you. Know that you are being thought of and prayed for. Just wanted to send some hope in the midst of Winter that God is still good all the time. See you next weekend. Fr. Mark

Fresh & Clean

The walls of church have now all been professionally cleaned. You can see how dirty they have gotten over the past 17 years in the above picture (where they have removed the sound panels). Not only does it make it look nicer, it reduces the chance of the dirt becoming permanently embedded in the paint film.

Challenge Girls Gift Blankets

The girls in “Challenge” made and donated blankets

to Fr. Elmer, as well as residents at the nursing home.
