MY GRANDFATHER, One of the most important people in my life is my grandfather. He owns a campground in Spruce Pine, North Carolina. I try to see him as much as I can, but because he lives so far away, I only see him at Christmas, summertime, and sometimes Labor Day weekend. He is a good person to look up to. He has taught me things like good manners, how to set up camp in the wilderness, how to cook on a grill and many other things. I have been with him to many fun places like Disney World, Dollywood, Virginia Creeper Trail and others. I am glad I have him because he is a very good influence every time I see him.

RALEIGH BOYCHOIR The Raleigh Boychoir has been an important part of my life for 4 years. My mom suggested it to me one day because she knew I liked singing and music. At the time, I had started playing piano, so I knew singing was right for me. Being a part of the choir has brought me many places such as Wisconsin, Maryland, and Boone, and next summer I am going to London. I have also been broadcast on a radio station and have sung the national anthem with my choir a Durham Bulls game. Every since I joined the choir, my ability to sing and to read music has improved greatly and has brought me many opportunities that I wouldnt have had otherwise, such as being in an opera production.

PIANO Piano is a very important part of my life. I have been playing since the first grade and it has been fun. When I started playing, I started with simple songs, then got more advanced. In the third grade, I entered two competitions. One was called Federation and the other was called Young Artists. That year I got a rating of good. The next two years I got superior, the highest you can get. I am going to do Young Artist and Federation and I am going to try to get a superior again! Someday I hope to be a musician and play piano and compose music for other peoples entertainment.

LIBRARY Reading is one of the most important things in my life. I started reading when I was in kindergarten. I read about I hour a day anywhere I am, but my favorite place to read is the library. At the library, it is quiet enough for everyone to read in peace. I am most familiar with the Cameron Village Library. At the library, I can pick out any book I like because I have my own library card. My mom loves my reading habit because I read books over and over and over again, so she doesnt have to buy me many books. I am glad I can read.

NEW ORLEANS New Orleans is the most important place for me. I was born there on March 1, 2000 (during Mardi Gras season! ) at Lakeside Hospital. I lived there for 4 months, then had to move to North Carolina because of my moms work. We visited there when I was 2, but I dont remember it. Ever since then I wanted to go back there, yet we havent got the chance because of money and work. New Orleans is the reason I like the New Orleans Saints pro football team and LSU college football team. I hope I will be able to go back there someday.
