The status of University was given to the cluster of these Colleges and Institutes in appreciation of the

high level of their academic excellence and for their potential for further growth.

During the last 15 years or so, the University has achieved still higher pinnacles of academic excellence

and has established its reputation to such an extent that it attracts students not only from various parts of India but

also from abroad. According to a survey conducted by Association of Indian Universities, this University is one

among the top ten Universities in the country preferred by the overseas students for admissions. At present, there

are more than 800 overseas students from 67 countries on the rolls of constituent units of this University.

During the last 15 years, there has been tremendous academic expansion of the University. It now conducts

in all 214 courses in its constituent units, of them 107 are Post Graduate, 50 are Under Graduate and 57 Diploma

level courses. All the professional courses which the University conducts such as those of Medicine, Dentistry,

Engineering etc., have approval of the respective Statutory Councils, viz., Medical Council of India, Dental

Council of India, All India Council for Technical Education etc.

The University is a throbbing center of research activities and has launched Ph.D. programmes in 64

Bharati Vidyapeeth which is the parent body of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University is one of the

largest networks of educational institutions in India. It was established by Dr. Patangrao Kadam in

1964, with a focused objective of bringing about intellectual awakening of people.

Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Nursing, Pune, was established in the month of September 1992 under

Pune University, headed by Dr. Maj. Mrs. Tapti Bhattacharjee. College of Nursing became a constituent unit

of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University in 1996. It is the first private college to provide various courses offerings

in nursing from GNM to Ph.D.

Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, College of Nursing, Sangli started in 2007 at Bharati Vidyapeeth

Deemed University Campus, Wanlesswadi, and Sangli. The College is a constituent unit of Bharati Vidyapeeth

Deemed University. The College has been started with the permission from Maharashtra Nursing council and Indian

Nursing Council. The College has 50-intake capacity for B.Sc., 30 for P.B. B.Sc. and 10 for M.Sc. Nursing.

Eligibility :

1. The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife or equivalent with any state Nursing

Registration Council.

2. The minimum education requirements shall be the passing of B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing / Post Basic

B.Sc. Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks. (50% marks for SC/ST Candidates)

3. The candidate should have undergone in B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing in an

institution which is recognized by Indian Nursing Council.

4. Minimum one year of work experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing.

5. Minimum one year of work experience prior or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.

6. Candidate shall be medically fit.

Note : 15 percent seats are reserved under Foreign / NRI / PIO / OCI / Management Merit Category. Any seats

remaining vacant in this category after allotment to Foreign and N.R.I. / PIO / OCI Merit Category students will

be allotted to Indian students in the Management Merit Category on the basis of marks obtained by them in the

E.T.(M.Sc. Nursing) 2014.

Criteria for Selection : The candidate will be selected as per the merit in the entrance Test. E.T. (M.Sc.Nursing) 2014 ENTRANCE TEST :

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

The University will conduct a common entrance test E.T. (M.Sc. Nursing) 2014 for admission of Bharati

Vidyapeeth University College of Nursing, Pune, Bharati Vidyapeeth University College of Nursing, Sangli.

1. Students will be admitted to the Two year M.Sc. Nursing course on the basis of the merit obtained by them in the

entrance Test E.T. (M.Sc. Nursing) 2014.

2. E.T. (M.Sc. Nursing) 2014 will be conducted as shown in the calendar of event at Pune, New Delhi & Navi

Mumbai, Sangli, Kottayam between 11.00 hrs to 13.00 hrs.

3. The question paper will be in English, questions will be from B.Sc. Nursing syllabus.

There will be 100 questions of multiple choice, each question will carry one mark.

Photograph :

A passport size photograph should be affixed at the appropriate place in the application form. The photograph is to be attested by the Principal/Head of the institution where the candidate has studied or by a Gazetted officer. The attestation of the photograph should be done in such a way that the photograph is not defaced.

9. The application form sent by mail must be sent by registered post/courier.

10. The University will not be responsible for any delay or loss of the Application/Admission Card/Counseling

Letter/any other communication in transit.

ISSUE OF ADMISSION CARDS :

1. Admission cards for E . T . (M.Sc. Nursing) 2014 will be dispatched by post to candidates under certificate of posting. The same is also available on our website

2. Candidates must not mutilate the admission card or change any entry made therein after the University authorities have authenticated it and received by them.

3. In case a candidate does not receive the admission card by the date mentioned in the calendar of events he/she should contact the examination centre on the previous day or the day of examination for collecting a duplicate admission card. In such a situation, candidate should bring two copies of photograph along with him/her and proof of submission / mailing application form.

CONDUCT OF THE

E.T. (M.Sc. Nursing) 2014

1. The written examination will be conducted at the center between 11.00 hrs. to 13.00 hrs. on the date mentioned in the calendar of events. The candidate must report at the center at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time of commencement of examination.

2. The candidate must take their seats in the examination hall at least 15 minutes before examination starts.

3. No. candidate will be admitted to examination hall without the admission card.

4. A candidate will not be allowed to carry any textual material, printed or hand written, chits or any other material except the Admission card inside the examination hall. Candidate will not be permitted to bring calculators, Mobile Phones or any other object/ device that is likely to be unfair assistance.

5. No candidate will be allowed to go outside the examination hall during the entire duration of examination. Once the candidate leaves the hall (even for answering a call of nature) he/she will not be readmitted to examination hall without any exception.

6. Candidate should maintain perfect silence and discipline in the examination hall. Any conversation or gesticulation or disturbance in the examination hall shall be considered as misbehavior and the candidates involved in such a behavior shall be expelled from the examination hall.

7. A warning bell will be given at the beginning of the examination and also to mark the half - time of the examination period. A bell will also be given 10 minutes before the closing time.

8. The examination will be of 2 hours duration and will consist of one question paper of 100 marks.

Merit lists for Regular and Foreign / NRI / PIO / OCI / Management Merit Category will be prepared.

1) The University will prepare a merit list of the candidates appeared for E.T. (M.Sc. Nursing) 2014. In

accordance with the total marks obtained by them.

2) Copies of merit list will be displayed for information at the offices of Bharati Vidyapeeth University in Pune.

3) In case two or more candidates obtaining equal marks in the E.T. (M.Sc. Nursing) 2014 the inter merit of such

candidates shall be determined in the order of preference as under.

A) Candidate getting higher percentage of marks in B.Sc. Nursing Examination

B) Candidate getting higher percentage of marks in 10+2

C) Candidate getting higher percentage of marks in 10th

The candidates in the merit list will be called for admission. They will have to confirm their admission by paying

the entire amount of tuition and other fees either in cash or by D.D. drawn in the name of the The Registrar,

Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune on any nationalized bank payable at Pune on the date of

admission. If the candidate fails to confirm his/her admission, his/her admission will stand cancelled

automatically and the next in the merit list will be offered that seat.

4) At the time of reporting for the counseling, the candidate is required to produce the documents (original and two

sets of photocopies) as per list given below.

Refund of fees :

In case of cancellation of admission the refund policy will be as follows :

(1) In the event of student withdrawing before the starting of the particular course, the entire fee collected from the

student, after a deduction of the processing fee of Rs. 1,000/- (Rupees One thousand only) shall be refunded.

(2) If a student submits his application for cancellation of admission in a prescribed form (duly completed) within 15

calendar days from the date of commencement of the particular course, 10 percent of total amount of tuition fees

prescribed for the course will be deducted form the amount of tuition fee paid by him and the balance amount will

be refunded.

(3) If a student submits his application for cancellation of admission in a prescribed form (duly completed within 30

calendar days from the date of commencement of the particular course, 20 percent of the total amount of tuition

fees prescribed for the course will be deducted from the amount of tuition fee paid by him and the balance

amount will be refunded.

(4) If a student submits an application for cancellation of admission after 30 calendar days from the date of

commencement of the particular course, no refund will be made and Rule (5) may also be invoked. However, if

the application for cancellation of admission is submitted before the last date prescribed for admission, and if the

vacated seat is filled by another candidate, 25% of the amount of tuition fees prescribed for the course will be

deducted from the amount of tuition fee paid and the balance amount will be refunded.

(5) If any student admitted to any course leaves the course after the prescribed last date for admission of the

particular course no refund will be made and he will be required to pay full amount of tuition fees for the

remaining entire duration of the course.

Court Jurisdiction :

1. Under no circumstances a change in examination centre once selected by the candidate will be allowed.

2. Any legal matters arising out of the total admission process of M.Sc. Nursing through All India Common Entrance

Test of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed Univesity, Pune - 30 i.e. E.T. (M.Sc. Nursing) 2014 will be in the courts of
