D6..N/D6..NL flow rate characteristic curves

The S-shaped characteristic curve of the D6..N/D6..NL butterfly valve corresponds approximately to the equal percentage characteristic curve pursuant to VDI 2176. It is only in the angle of rotation range between 0°...54° that one can speak of an approximately equal percentage characteristic curve. For an opening angle of 54°, the kvs corresponds to 35% of the kv max value for a 90° opening angle. The power factor n(gl) of the equal percentage valve characteristic curve is ≈ 2.5.

The effective volumetric flow is calculated as follows:
