Class 5 platform is a comprehensive SIP platform that allows operators to deliver a wide range of communication services in networks of any type:

• PSTN • VoIP

• Mobile • WiFi, WiMAX, etc.

3

Why ALOE Systems?

Class 5 platform enables Operators to:

• Smoothly integrate PSTN, Mobile and VoIP networks both on switching and service levels;

• Bill a single subscriber account irrespective of the communication means (fixed or mobile) and services used by a subscriber;

• Create virtual enterprise call centers;

• Effectively provide demanded Unified Messaging services (Voice-to-Email, Fax-to-Email, Web-to-Fax, etc.);

• Come up with a variety of service packages for different customer groups based on services implemented in the platform;

• Offer roaming calls over IP.

Benefits for telecom network operators

Class 5 platform allows to increase ARPU due to broad range of services and increase of subscribers’ expenditures on fixed telephony

• Increase of ARPU and MоU due to introduction of new services and providing access to PSTN and Mobile via IP network;

• Ability to provide services to subscribers of competitor operators;

• Increase of loyalty and technological “hookup” of existing customers;

• Network load reduction while providing the same service volumes.

5

Convergence on the switching level

Operator is enabled to grant a complete set of high-end services to all customers irrespective of their access network and terminals.

All billing info is collected and stored in a single point and format.

6

Convergence on the service level

Operators can provide services involving different communication means:

• Fax-to-Email;• Voice-to-Email;• SMS notification about calls and other events.

7

Examples of services: Single Access Number

The Single Access Number service allows operator to provide a customer with a unified number to be used with all access devices (PSTN/Mobile/VoIP)

Customer benefits: • A single number for all incoming/outgoing calls• Flexible Call forward and Follow me options settings: by time, condition, location, etc.

(if network allows this type of service)• Possibility to use the full range of VAS, such as Fax-to-Email or IVR, on a single number• Network access for distant locations• Call-centers

Operator benefits: All the customer contacts are tied to a single number More opportunities to sell VAS services (for example, conference calls) Increase of ARPU since all customer traffic (fixed and mobile) passes through the

Operator’s network

8

Single Access Number: How does it work?

A customer receives a single phone number for all incoming and outgoing calls Calls are forwarded to/from the customer’s fixed, mobile and VoIP terminals, to e-mail

box etc. A customer creates own call handling scenarios via user’s web-interface or DTMF menu.

Examples of services: Virtual IP PBX

Class 5 platform domain structure allows to create unlimited number of sub-domains (“Virtual IP PBX”) with central or individual management.

Examples of services: Virtual IP PBX

Class 5 platform domain structure allows to create unlimited number of sub-domains (“Virtual IP PBX”) with central or individual management.

Customer benefits: • no investments into PBX hardware and configuration• no maintenance costs• ability to keep the number in case of relocation• free communications between remote offices (broadband access is required)• “one stop” principle – the customer contacts only his personal manager

Operator benefits: revenues from selling/renting PBX services revenues from selling VAS packages customer traffic passes through the Operators network and is billed according to

the Operator’s rates

11

«Family PBX» for end-users

Class 5 platform allows to unite fixed-line, mobile and virtual numbers of a group (family) into Virtual PBX with short numbers and a set of VAS.

Page 12: Business models based on RTU class 5

«Family PBX» for end-users

Location-based identification functions

• Processing of incoming calls based on the subscriber’s location

• Tracking control of the group member with ability to backtrack (children, seniors)

• Precise identification of current location based on 911 call mapping (for mobile terminals)

• Audio/Video monitoring

• Individual surveillance service using SIP/PC equipment (camera, motion sensor)

• Entry phone system

Page 13: Business models based on RTU class 5

13

Examples of services: VoIP Roaming

Customer benefits:

• cheap calls in roaming through IP connection: Wi-Fi/WiMAX/3G/PLС

• possibility to make and receive calls via any IP network (including wireless) using “Mobile Softphone” application installed on a communicator, Smartphone or PC

• the same number and account for billing of both roaming and local calls

Operator benefits:

• additional income from selling the service (subscriber fee)

• increase of MoU and ARPU due to reduction of customer rates

• service profitability due to elimination of roaming costs

• growth of customer base

VoIP Roaming: how does it work?

Install “Mobile softphone” on a smartphone, laptop or PC and make and receive calls via any IP network (including wireless)

VAS set and packages

The platform allows to provide about 40 VAS features, which can be grouped into three main categories:

1. Basic services: Conditional and Unconditional Call Forward, Call Hold, Call Transfer, Consultation call, Voice Mail, Speed Dial, Identity Based Access, Do Not Disturb etc.

2. Group services: Chat Room, Call Pickup, Group Call, DISA (Direct Inward System Access), Call Queue, Call Parking etc.

3. Special services: Follow Me, Auto attendant (IVR), Call Back, Voice Portal, Fax-to-E-mail, Auto Redial With Call Back, Call Record, Televoting etc.

However, this grouping is conventional and its up to the Operator to create own VAS packages.

Moreover, some services can be provided as standalone solutions (such as Televoting, Fax-to-Email or Softphone).

VAS packages availability doesn’t depend on the end-users communication equipment, except for several specific services, such as Video conferencing.

For non mobile carriers. MVNO.

Today the market of mobile services is the fastest growing segment of telephony services. This makes it extremely attractive for carriers that operate in other segments.

For those who want to penetrate into mobile market:

To obtain mobile subscribers a carrier has 3 options:1. To get an MNO (mobile network operator) license, buy and install the needed

equipment and to start marketing campaign. Why not: VERY EXPENSIVE. 2. To become an MVNO (mobile virtual network operator) without own equipment

(renting all the needed equipment resources from the host provider (MVNE – mobile virtual network enabler)). Why not: Great risk of being dependent on the free will and conditions of the host provider. In fact that is no different from an independent tariff.

3. To become an MVNO with own equipment. This variant gives the option to be independent from a single host provider (by having the opportunity to connect to any of the mobile carriers on the market).

16

Page 17: Business models based on RTU class 5

For non mobile carriers. MVNO.

But there are challenges:

• current MVNO equipment makers are the same way too expensive as classic mobile network equipment makers.

• These equipment makers are slightly interested in clients with 10-100K of potential subscribers (and this is the most typical size of a community based MVNO, for example).

• Current MVNO equipment makers target mobile market oriented clients, while many of the companies willing to become an MVNO already have some subscribers (most likely POTS or VoIP ones).

ALOE Systems provides a reasonably priced robust MVNO solution that is: • targeted towards 10-100K subscribers MVNOs• capable to unite POTS, VOIP and mobile networks.• single number for all networks• IP Centrex (Hosted PBX) service for all networks

For Vonage-like carriers

19

• Hosted IP Centrex solution with an enhanced set of VAS to generate additional benefits

• Ability to provide end users with a local or international telephone number (DID) to place and receive calls

• Unbound technology: can be used from anywhere on the globe and perform calls any distance at any time using Internet.
