DESCRIPTION:Business: Horse riding club

Executive summary:In Albania a horse club is something new but seems very attractive and profitable at the same time. The purpose is to give Albanians the possibility of

practicing a different sport and spending more time with animals in this case horses. Our vision is to bring a new approach of western culture with horses. The main mission is to entertain our members. Since most of the Albanians don’t have knowledge in riding horses there will be a course of learning. We’ll start out finding a grassland. The place is located in the highway area between Tirana and Durres. The grass land will include nearby a horse farm. I will take it in rent or in concession. The land and farm will have an area of 300-500 ha. The clients will make a registration in the club . Than they can come on determinate times to learn or ride a horse. In the beginning will be a small number of horses. The price of every horse is categorized in classes from A to D. Category A: 15000 euro. Category B: Up to 30000 euro. Category C: Up to 45000 euro. Category D > 45000 euro. The maintenance and transportation will be by qualified workers. The competitive advantages that will make this business a success are the opportunities that is a new thing and Albanians are willing to try new things.

Market analysis: The market of riding clubs in Albania doesn’t exist so is the first time for a business like this. It is one of the kind. I’m not saying that there is no hipism in

Albania but I’m saying that doesn’t exists a club like this which will have its own permanent members. So the competition on this business filled that I’m in is going to be low. The business will start with a small amount of horses and than it can grow eventually. The target market for this kind of business are all people who like animals and particularly horses. As every other business, mine is going to have its ups and downs too. During the winter, as the weather is getting colder, the costumers number will decrease, meanwhile during spring and summer the profits will get higher.

Organization & Management:This business is going to have its own inner structure which is presented in the scheme above in the presentation.

The club will have an administrator who is going to be responsible for everything that happens in the inside area and will be in charged to manage and deal with every problem that the members or the staff can have. There is also going to be a front desk where every person can knock to get information about the club or to apply for the member card and person who is in charged about that is going to be there. It is very important that the club has its own doctor and vet in case of an accident that can happen to the clients or a problem that can happen to horses. There are going to be some cleaning ladies who are going to take care for the environment and some instructors who will learn the horses to act properly and the customers how to ride (in case they have never tried before)

Expenses:The financial needs are going to be in a big scale but with the right management isn’t going to be a problem. The grass land and the farm will be rented.

Rental cost of the grassland = 15000 euro per month. The payment of the land and the farm will be one year prepaid. Or if is in concession the price will the same but paid in different mode like every year or a 5 year contract. The grassland and farm equipments will cost approx to 100000-150000 euro. As I mentioned before, the horses will cost 15000 euro each and we will start up with at least 10 horses. Based on this price and amount we calculate that the expenses for horses will go up to 150000 euro. Each horse is going to have its own horse tack and supplies and every member is going to have his own outfit. In total the extra expenses for this stuff is going up to 300 euro per each. The employee’s salary will go up to 1000 euro except the administrator who’s salary is going up 1500 euro. Other expenses will go for the bills of water and electricity. We will need extra money for the maintenance of the horses and for advertising.

Profits:The main profit will come from the members. Every member in the club will have his own registration. The registration will begin monthly, starting from

3 to 6 month. For 3 month registration = 250 euro per member and for 6 month =450 euro per member. Side profits are the advertising banners around the grassland. Every banner will pay a cost of 35 euro per month. Also depending on the size of the banner.

Operation Strategy: The strategy that the club will follow is giving the opportunity to members of the club to register their family members with half of the price. This will

make them more loyal to the club and our activities. For new arrivals the first day of tryouts is free so they can choose to become a member of our club.

Marketing strategy: The club will use social media to advertise its service. It is going to have its own website page and of course a commerce in the TV. Future potential of your business idea:

In a near future is the possibility of expanding the riding club by offering the hipism sport or trading horses. Why not including also the horse races, a sport which is very profitable and is a golden opportunity for the future.
