Undertake live-line work utilizing a variety of methods such as live line hot stick and robber glove technique. Trouble shoot and respond to customer service calls and power interruptions. Undertake the framing, erection, stringing and termination of all wire buses and overhead lines supported by strain type insulators in outdoor substations as required. Erect poles, install guy wires and operate hole digging attachments, pole setting and related equipment on line trucks. Read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams and drawings. Performed underground locating for contractors and internal customers. Install underground cables in ducks and vaults. Also perform the termination and splicing of these cables. Work safely in accordance with safety practice regulations and procedures. Offer mentorship to apprentices and leadership to the team when the opportunity arises. ● Successfully performed duties related to the construction, maintenance and repair of transmission lines for both overhead and underground lines.

● Performed de-energized work on wooden poles and steel lattice towers with voltages up to 138KV

● Performed energized work using rubber gloves technique up to 24KV ● Completed annual helicopter patrols of transmission lines across the island of Jamaica, checking

for defects and ensuring their structural integrity● Undertook the framing, erection, stringing, sagging and termination of all wires of all buses and

overhead lines supported by strain and suspension type insulators in outdoor substation as required.
