In the first shot it shows a close up of some scratching on glass, this straight away gives us on insight of the grittiness of the film

In this shot its starting to introduce the main characters wearing a grey hoodie in a prison cell. Dialogue does not begin until 1:06.. The colouring of the scene is very bright with the walls being white, which is a contrast to the dark scene seen previously. This connotes innocence. The viewers start asking the question why is he in prison? and what has he done?

The next shot is a long shot were there is a divide in races with the black guy coming out of prison and white police offices behind the desk. This connotes that the black male is a bad guy and the white offices are good. This is the first time the male speaks and he has a strong London accent

In this close up shot it shows another black male smoking cigarette and driving. At this is when there is a connection between the two male and this connotes black crime. This asks the questions; where is he driving to and why does he smoke
