Reminder:
A note is required when your child has a change in how they are to
go home.
Without this infor-mation, students
will go to their reg-
ular location.
A note from Mr. Ellinger regarding teacher requests:
I want to take this opportunity to explain the procedure I use in making classroom placements. I do not accept requests for a specific teacher because I cannot promise that your request can be honored. However, I accept letters requesting NOT to have a spe-cific teacher. We have an excellent teaching staff and our students would flourish in anyone’s classroom. You may, however, have legitimate reasons for your request, therefore no explanation is required. I do ask that you only name ONE teacher. Letters
with 2 or more names will be returned. Another option, which is extremely helpful to me in the placement process, is a letter from parents describing the strengths and weak-nesses of your child.
Letters must be in my office by Friday, April 29th. Requests received after that date will also be returned. With parent letters, student data, and information from this year’s teacher, I will hand place all students in their class assignments for next year.
Please be aware that teachers may organize instruction that requires students to go to other classrooms/teachers for a part of their normal day. Working together, I know that we will be able to provide your child with the very best experience McKenney-Harrison has to offer.

McKenney-Harrison Office Hours
Regular office hours:
Monday through Friday
7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
I am a life-long public educator
with 28 years of experi-
ence. For the last seven years
I have taught and coached at
the building and district lev-
el. I have been immersed in
leading through student learn-
ing and instruction, as well as in
developing curriculum through
my work with teachers, staff,
students, parents and
coaches, both at the district
and building level.
I am anxious to meet every-
one. The four walls at
McKenney-Harrison provide
the structure and are full of
stories already told and just
waiting for listening ears.
Serendipity is the word that
I would use to describe
what’s happening in my
life. It seems that I am al-
ready connected to you in
many ways. New friends
will be mixed with old fa-
miliar faces! I look forward
to meeting everyone!
