Mana, the abode of brahmins is usually the centre of culture,
education and scale of wisdom. In Kerala, these manas were
said to be established by Lord Parasurama in order to fabricate
a new texture of social customs and traditions. Namboothiries
from North were brought by him as a part of this novel concept.
Suryakaladi Mana, one of the six richest focal points of Mantra
practitioners, is renowned for Mantravada, the science of
Mantra and for Lord Ganesha worship. This Mana, situated in
Nattassery, Kottayam Dist., Kerala is enriched with glorious
tradition and legends, believed to have been instituted by Lord
Parasurama. The legend goes that Lord Surya appeared in front
of an ancestor of this Mana and blessed him with a divine text
(Grantha) containing many secret mantras and their proper
applications. One male child in each generation is titled
Suryan as a reminder of his ancestors tryst with God. The
name Suryakaladi owes its incomparable orgin from this
illuminating episode of history.

Every family has their own traditions and patterns of lifestyle to
which the family members adhere strictly. Tradition is usually
transmitted orally from generations to generations. Holding a
great heredity, Suryakaladi Mana observes several traditional
customs and practices. The most important aspect is
Mantravada or Mantra Sasthra, a process in which
discomfort of a person will be removed by using series of
Mantras and following certain ritualistic pattern like
incantation. The power to practice Mantravada was born from
Lord Parasurama. The eldest male member is assigned to
perform Mantravada chiefly but other male members also do it
with the guidance from the chief. Mantra rites bear desired
results only when done by an upasak (a man) with tapasakti
(intense power generated by meditation of Mantras
knowledge), with an exactitude and adhering to the time-
tested heritages. Mantravadam (defi) is an act of purification.
In Suryakaladi Mana the practice of Mantras and the connected
rituals are mainly done for the well-being of the society and
humanity as a whole. Intention is to help the distressed and
ailing people to solve their problems and to make their lives,
peaceful and contended.

It is believed that the Mana has been instituted by Lord Parasurama. The legend says that Lord Surya appeared in front of an ancestor of Suryakaladi Mana and blessed him with a divine text containing many secret Mantras along with proper applications. After that, one male child in each generation is named as 'Suryan' as a reminder of his ancestor's relation with God. The name Suryakaladi owes its incomparable origin from this illuminating episode of history.
Sree Chakra is the Lord of all Yantras, formed by nine interlocking triangles that surround and radiate out from the central point-the intersection point between the physical universe and its undisclosed source. It plays crucial role in attracting divine power and yielding supernatural results. In Suryakaladi Mana, Sree Chakra Upasana is performing as per strict family customs and traditions.

spiritual orbits of states outside Kerala, Lord Maha Ganapathi is accorded not just high but the highest rank among the Deities. He is invoked to adorn the First Place during the initiation ceremonies especially during the inculcation of penances like the Sreevidya Deeksha.
For the first time in Kerala, All India Ganesha Purana Tatva Sameeksha Satram is being organized under the auspices of the ancient Suryakaladi Mana to affirm the doctrine of Ekam Sath (The state of Being One). This is to glorify the ubiquity of the Eternal Truth. To accomplish the doctrine of Ishtapurtham, Yagam will be performed following Vanjcha Kalpa Latha p r o c e d u r e o f s p i r i t u a l l i t u r g y . The Yagam aims at the well-being of the human race at large.
As a prelude to the grand event the sacred Agni (Holy Fire) was kindled / lit up in the Acharyakunddam (Holy Sacrificial Altar ) in the Sacrificial Venue churning Arani (The twigs of Chamata i.e. Tree Butea Frondosa) on the auspicious day of Pathamudayam that coincided with the 23rd of April 2012. India is a land marked for her unique culture and Vedic heritage. The quintessence of Indian euthenics can be abridged as Ishtapurtham (observances combined with holy sacrifices aimed at the welfare of mankind). It is in fact the practical exercise of the Tantric and the Vedic refinement which can be diademed as Divine as well as resplendent.
Subjected to scientific theories rooted on the ancient spiritual administrations, the significance of Lord Ganapathi accompanied by Goddess Lakshmi is well-defined as the Prime Force supporting the human torso.
Every penance is based on the worship of the prime cause. Every prayer is aimed at invoking the Supreme Power. Therefore, the initial laudation of every worship is bestowed on Lord Ganapathi who wards off obstacles.
The sacred text of Lalithopakhyanam extols the glory of Lord Ganapathi in an absolute and unique manner. Almost everyone in India is familiar with Ganesha Pooja, Ganesh Upasana and Ganapathi Homam. In the spiritual sphere of Kerala and the
(Soaked grain/Puffed rice) is offered to the Agni by chanting the Ganesha Moola Mantram (The Sacred Eight Letter Hymn invoking Lord Ganapathi) , 3,33,336 times. This will go on until the day that will mark the beginning of Satram namely 27-12-2012. By then, the Agni will be sanctified to the core thanks to the chanting of Ganesha Moola Manthram, libation, feeding the Brahmans and other spiritual procedures. On the marked day, Vanjchakalpalatha Yagam will be performed in the basin with the sanctified Agni as medium.
Ever since Agni was kindled in the sacrificial venue, men and women have been pouring in from far and near to Suryakaladi Mana to get initiated into the discipline of the Lords devotees. Today, all of them are ascetics taking part in the Japayanjam (chanting service) as a gesture of their devotion to Lord Ganapathi. Gana Gandharva Dr.K.J. Yesudas, Mrs. Prabha Yesudas and film director Sri. Jayaraj are a few among the personages who have joined the Japayanjam.
