1 Overview

The purpose of this document is to outline the provisioning rules that account for a partially managed Mitel SIP-DECT RFP OMM and DECT phones. The customer premise equipment (CPE) including the Mitel OMM, RFPs and DECT are customer owned and managed. The customer is responsible operating and maintaining their own CPE. BroadCloud PBX will provide a MAC based configuration files that provide the required SIP credentials necessary for use on the BroadCloud PBX network.

This document will outline the provisioning processes for customer managed OMM download of the provisioning files containing the BroadCloud PBX sip user information. These files include the macaddress.cfg, ipdect.cfg and a blank user_common.cfg file.

NOTE: The base firmware for the BroadCloud PBX Mitel SIP-DECT offering is SIP-DECT_7.0SP1-HF01 that can be downloaded from the Mitel web site at https://connect.mitel.com/connect/ or http://edocs.mitel.com/default.htm



2 Provisioning Process

This section details the provisioning process for configuring a Mitel SIP DECT OMM to automatically request a MAC.cfg file from the BroadCloud PBX DMS provisioning server. We recommend the MAC of the OMM be entered as the MAC of record in the BroadCloud dashboard. The OMM MAC is the PARK ID plus two zeros at the end. This will allow RFP fail over as the MAC file request is associated with the OMM and not the individual RFP.

2.1 MySite Dashboard Provisioning The OMM MAC must be added manually to the BroadCloud PBX MySite Dashboard. Log into MySite and navigate to the “Device Management” tab.

• Click on the “Add Ported Devices” button.

• Enter the MAC of the OMM. The OMM MAC is the PARK ID with two leading zeros in the MAC field (e.g., 001F1028D67D where the PARK ID is 1F1028D67D).

• Choose the “Mitel SIP_DECT OMM 512” device type from the drop-down menu and click add.

• Close the pop up and return to device assignment tab to assign users to the OMM.

2.2 OMM Remote Provisioning Setup Again, the base firmware for the BroadCloud PBX Mitel SIP-DECT offering is SIP-DECT_7.0SP1-HF01. Ensure your OMM in on this version. You set the provisioning link via the OMM web GUI or the OMP interface. The following sections discuss both options.

Note: Setting the password, PARK/License, DECT regulatory domain, etc are the responsibility of the customer OMM administrator.

2.2.1 BroadCloud PBX URL Provisioning; OMP Tool

To set the provisioning links navigate to the System, Provisioning Page, Provisioning Tab shown in Error! Reference source not found. and perform the following steps:

• Check the “Active” check box

• Set the “Protocol” to HTTPS in the drop-down menu

• Check the “Use default port” check box

• Enter the desired provisioning URL for your region in the “Server” box

o Australia, aastra.broadcloud.com.au

o USA Beta, betaaastra.sipflash.com

o Europe, aastra.broadcloud.eu

o USA, aastra.sipflash.com

• Enter 443 in the “Port” box

• Enter /dms/Mitel-SIPDECT-OMM-512 in the “Path” box

• Mimic the SSL settings in Figure 2

2.2.2 BroadCloud PBX URL Provisioning; OMM Web GUI

To set the provisioning links navigate to the System Settings page shown in Figure 3 OMM Web GUI Remote Server Provisioning and perform the following steps:

• Check the “Configure specific source” check box

• Set the “Protocol” to HTTPS

• Enter the desired provisioning URL for your region in the “Server” box

o Australia, aastra.broadcloud.com.au

o USA Beta, betaaastra.sipflash.com

o Europe, aastra.broadcloud.eu

o USA, aastra.sipflash.com

• Enter 443 in the “Port” box

• Enter /dms/Mitel-SIPDECT-OMM-512 in the “Path” box

2.3 Mitel SIP-DECT Phone Provisioning When the OMM’s get the sip user information from the BroadCloud PBX provisioning servers the DECT phones must be resynchronized to the OMM. The following sections discuss how to configure the 612, 622d, 632d and 142d DECT to their user on the OMM.

2.3.1 OMM Subscription

To initiate the subscription on the OMM, execute the following steps:

1. From the web GUI, navigate to the DECT Phones menu

2. Ensure Auto-create on subscription is set to active

3. Ensure Subscription is automatically enabled.

4. From the web GUI, navigate to the System -> System Settings menu

5. Enter the authentication code in DECT authentication code.

6. Set the DECT phone user login type to Login ID

2.3.2 SIP DECT Phone Subscription

To subscribe the SIP DECT Phones to the OMM, execute the following steps:



1. Press the softkey to bring up the system menu. Navigate to the System → New system and click Ok to confirm

2. Enter the authentication code in the Auth. Code field when prompted. Use the phone extension (for factory default configuration, enter “22222”). Click Ok to confirm

3. Enter the PARK ID number and Click Ok to confirm

An Info box is displayed with the message “Subscription – Please wait”. The subscription should finish shortly after this with a success message. You can abort the subscription at any time by pressing the Esc soft key. See the following figure for an example.

2.3.3 SIP DECT Phone User Login

To subscribe the SIP DECT Phones to the OM, execute the following steps:

1. Press the softkey to bring up the system menu. Navigate to the System → New system and click Ok to confirm

2. Enter the authentication code in the Auth. Code field when prompted. Use the phone extension (for factory default configuration, enter “22222”). Click Ok to confirm

3. Enter the PARK ID number and Click Ok to confirm

An Info box is displayed with the message “Subscription – Please wait”. The subscription should finish shortly after this with a success message. You can abort the subscription at any time by pressing the Esc softkey. See the following figure for an example.

For 142d login, enter *##3 (FAC Number plus User Login number) plus phone extension. For reference review the Feature Access Codes setting under System Features -> Feature Access Codes. See the following figure for an example.

3 BroadCloud PBX Requirements

BroadCloud PBX is responsible for providing the OMM three files. These files include the macaddress.cfg, the ipdect.cfg and a blank user_common.cfg file that are downloaded from a remote provisioning server. The customer is responsible for all administration, firmware upgrades and backups of the OMM and SIP DECT phones data. BroadCloud TAC support will be limited to the information provided in supplied the BroadCloud PBC provisioning files and SIP messaging to and from the BroadCloud PBX network.
