Greeting to all BBSA Members.
The election of officers for 2016 will be held during our next BBSA Meeting that is scheduled for November 17th, at the Greene Turtle Restaurant in Greenbrier Mall. Cocktails start at 6:00pm. The Greene Turtle in located next to the main Mall entrance. They have extended their happy hour, 6-9 PM. A 60" TV monitor is available for our use.

PHRF/Big-Boat Racing News by Scott Almond BBSA racers cleaned house taking over half the total trophies in this year's Southern Bay Distance Racing Series (SBDRS) sponsored by HYC, NYCC, OPCYC, CCV, and BBSA. The awards are handed out at the annual Cruising Club of Virginia (CCV) Awards Party to be held on the evening of November 14 at Barclay Towers in Virginia Beach. Following are the top BBSA finishers in each fleet; please make plans to attend on the 14th to receive your award (contact Dixon Wilde, [email protected] for more information and to RSVP for this event; www.ccvracing.org). Full results will be posted shortly on our website at www.broadbaysailing.org .

Just announced, the PHRF of the Chesapeake annual meeting will be held on November 21st in Fredericksburg. The President will finalize the agenda and proposals, which should be posted (at any time) to their website (www.phrfchesbay.org ). The election of 2016 Officers, class splits and other points of business will be discussed. I will be out of town that weekend, so if you are interested in attending and acting as the BBSA Delegate (by proxy), please do not hesitate to contact me, and I will give you all of the pertinent details. The meeting will start at 11am (lunch buffet provided) and will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn.
