The Brintons storyA Brintons woven carpet is born from over two centuries of

experience and expertise. Wherever you are and whatever

your project, Brintons has the product, expertise and capability

to create innovative and timeless solutions. From hotels to

airports, restaurants to convention centers, cruise ships to

offices, Brintons has produced award-winning carpets that

have combined innovative design with quality and outstanding

commercial performance.

In the 1950s, Brintons invented the 80 per cent wool 20 per

cent nylon blend which is now the global standard for axminster

around the world. This blend combines the comfort of wool

with the strength and durability of nylon. This blend continues

to perform excellently and it is used in our products today,

woven on looms designed and built by Brintons.

But the Brintons story doesn’t stop there. We are continuing to

develop and innovate creating new yarn textures, design

capabilities and technologies to bring you products and

services which inspire and excite and are suitable for any

commercial interior.

Total vertical manufacturingBrintons undertake all aspects of manufacture from yarn preparation and dyeing to weaving, totally in-house. This enables us to maintain a rigorous high standard of quality control at all stages of production.

Our manufacturing processes are continually developed and re-engineered to reduce and control energy and water usage, emissions, waste and impact on the local community.

Brintons’ investment in design is second to none. For inspiration we maintain the largest archive of textile designs, dating back to the 1700’s. Through the creative efforts of our own carpet designers, we augment this archive by adding over 20,000 contemporary designs each year.

Our design studios are strategically located in key global markets. This regional approach allows us to bring innovative, cutting-edge solutions directly to our customers. Each year Brintons launches custom, inspirational design collections which are at the forefront of design trends. In this way we exceed our customer expectations and work closely with them to make their projects truly unique.

Sampling • Woven trials for custom projects. • Full sampling for stocked ranges. • AMP – Axminster Modelling Programme – our ground breaking carpet texture printing system. - Produces accurate paper prints of any custom or stock design quickly and effi ciently. - Assists in carpet design and selection so you can see what the carpet will look like. - Facilitates decision making, allows faster turn arounds and earlier project completions.

Planning and estimating • We ensure that all practical elements such as width are considered to give you the most effi cient and cost effective proposal for your budget.

Experience and expertise • We have complete control over all aspects of carpet manufacture at all of our global plant facilities, in the UK, Portugal and India, from blending to dyeing, spinning and weaving. • We are uniquely qualifi ed to provide an exceptional range of yarn systems: 100% wool, 80% wool / 20% nylon, 70% wool / 30% nylon, 100% type 6.6 nylon. • We have the most extensive colour dyeing facility in the world, with industry leadership in colour reproduction accuracy.

EnvironmentalOur philosophy is clear: to produce carpets from renewable resources, with extended lifecycles, manufactured in plants continually striving to reduce their environmental footprint, by employees who are cared for and environmentally aware.

Our carpets make a signifi cant contribution to improve indoor living standards, conservation of energy and are ecologically friendly.

• Indoor Air Quality is protected through very low emissions of VOC’s that meet the stringent standards of the Carpet and Rug Institute Green Label Plus programme. • Brintons products contribute to the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), an assessment system of the U.S. Green Building Council.

InstallationWe partner with installation professionals who are certifi ed in the proper procedures for installing woven carpet in all types of commercial interiors. Brintons’ in-house installers will also supervise large projects, provide on-site advice, demonstrate best practices and resolve any site issues that may arise.

Quality Assurance • Since April, 1986, Brintons has held BSI Registered Firm status and are currently registered under BS EN ISO 9001:2008 • Registration under BS EN ISO 9001:2008 ensures that we have systems and procedures in place to deliver consistent and reliable quality standards. • Brintons is also accredited to BS EN ISO 14001 the International Environmental Management System, a structured framework for identifi cation, control and improvement of environmental impacts.
