President’s Opening AddressThe President opened the meeting by welcoming all of those in attendance.

Minutes of the Meeting held on 15 November 2015The Minutes of the meeting dated the 15th November 2015 were agreed upon as being a true record of the proceedings and were formally adopted by the meeting.

Matters ArisingMP reported that since the AGM, the accounts had been approved by the auditor.

Secretary’s Report and CorrespondenceSC reported the following correspondenceAll correspondence had been circulated to the Management Committee MembersMidland Counties AGM NoticeBowls England re Under 25 Trialist nominationsFixture arrangements during VH absence in hospitalResignation from Colin Barks as section 2 secretary and Middleton Cup ManagerWoodhall Spa Town BC re affiliation

Sandy Gray had been appointed as Section 2 SecretaryAshley Caress had been appointed as Middleton Cup ManagerHandbooks had been prepared, printed and circulatedThe web site has been progressed9 Bowls Lincolnshire shirts are being held in stockSelection committee had met on 2 occasions

Executive ReportPW reported that the Executive Committee had met and agreed to form a sub committee to consider the differences between Bowls Lincolnshire Men and Ladies and to submit a plan to effect unification.

Section ReportsSection 1 – PW reported that everything is in place for the coming season. Very few section 1 players have come forward so far, to play in County matches.

Section 2 – Nothing to report

Section 3 – RW was confident that there would be a good level of support from section 3 players.

Section 4 – No report

Treasurer’s ReportCurrent Balance of £5892.66Some cheques have still not been presented. No further follow up will be made to those who have not paid cheques into their accounts. 14 Clubs were late paying their affiliation fees93% of the entry fees will be paid as prize monies this season as opposed to 84% last season, which would only realise a profit from competitions of £76. Sandy Gray to sponsor the 4 wood singles competition – thank you Sandy.The schedule of prize monies presented by MP was approved by the meeting.As was mentioned by SC, we have 9 of the new shirts in stock which were returned by Colin Barks. VH also has a few shirts, but we do not have enough to kit out our teams.Sponsorship is needed for the future and everyone was asked to consider a solution. SC happy to send begging letters if leads were provided.It was agreed that we would make do for 2016 especially as work is going on regarding unification, which is likely to affect uniforms.

Match Secretary’s ReportVH reported that availability sheets have been sent to all clubsThe response has been good, better than last year and this includes some new playersTwo matches are currently short of players but this will be worked upon.

Middleton Cup, Midland Counties and Under 25 Managers ReportsThe selection committee had met and a follow up meeting has been arranged.Ashley Caress has been appointed as Middleton Cup Team manager

Midland Counties BA Reps ReportOur delegates had attended the AGM and Luncheon.There have been no changed to the rules or changes regarding the provision of meals.

Lincolnshire EBA Vice Presidents ReportNo Report

Bowls England Delegates ReportJS and AB had attended the annual dinner.JS had attended the AGM, where it had been decided that the White Rose and Amy Rose competitions would remain in the current format.There will be a new competition next season – A senior 4’s competition which will be administered by the Counties and the winners will qualify for Leamington. JS to clarify if this is over 55’s or over 60’s.Worcestershire had filled a vacancy on the finance committee

Any Other BusinessIt was agreed that Peter Scarsdale (St Giles BC) would be invited to take up the post of Junior Vice President of the Association. (Proposed and seconded by JS & VH)With the new web site, it was suggested that John Fulcher should be asked to remove references to Bowls Lincolnshire from his web site – SC to action this.

MP brought up the matter of the Bowls Development Association not being able to deal with clubs in the old Humberside area as it is not recognised by Bowls England. MP to draft a letter regarding this which would be sent to SC. CS would be asked to discuss this with Bowls England to see if there can be a way forward.MP asked about celebration matches. The list is with SC
