Břevnov monastery Letohrádek Hvězda Villa Müller Písecká gate Ladronka Quiz

Břevnov Abbey is a Benedictine monastery in Prague. It was founded by Prince Boleslav II and Saint Adalbert, bishop of Prague in 993 AD.

The buildings standing today, including St Margaret's church, the conventual buildings and prelate's house, date from the 18th century and have been built in the Baroque style.

Letohrádek Hvězda translating into English as "Star Villa" or "Star Summer Palace") is a renaissance villa situated in a game reserve of the same name (Obora Hvězda) in Liboc, Prague 6, 7 kilometres west of Prague city centre.

The surrounding game reserve was founded in 1530 King Ferdinand I. 25 years later, he commissioned his younger son Ferdinand II, Archduke of Austria to build the villa. The foundations were laid on June 27, 1555 by the Archduke alone, and construction of the villa was completed three years later. The villa is in the shape of a six-pointed star, from where it and the game reserve gained their shared name.

The Villa Müller is an architectural structure designed in 1930 by architect Adolf Loos. The villa is located in Prague6-Střešovice. The house was designed originally for Mr. František Müller and his wife, Milada Müllerová.

Písek Gate also called Bruska Gate (Czech: Bruská brána) is a former city gate of Baroque fortification of Prague, Czech Republic. Once belonging to fortification section called Marian Walls (Czech: Mariánské hradby) it is located in K Brusce Street at Hradčany neighbourhood, not far from Hradčanská metro station. Anther sights in vicinity include Royal Summer Palace or Villa Bílek. Nowadays Písek Gate is the only preserved gate of the city proper and one of four remaining of the whole fortification system (Tábor, Leopold and Chotek (Brick) gates are part of Vyšehrad Fortress).

Ladronka is one of the best known settlements, whose fate is somewhat modern drama. It stands near Břevnov residential buildings where stretches a beautiful view of the Motol slopes. At present, the adjacent park Ladronka renovated and serves pedestrians, bicyclists, but most skaters.

In September 2005 there was opened a new cultural and social center. In 2006 the newly refurbished Ladronka nominated for the building of the year.
