Professional History

Avaya Sr. Manager Supply Chain - Global Transportation 7/2007 to 4/2013

Responsible for the strategic movement of all company material on a global basis, $62 M freight spend Key member for the creation, implementation and distribution of the truckload

RFP for both the domestic market as well as Mexico that resulted in a $1M dollar savings. Monitor shipping activity and work with all suppliers and contract manufacturers (CM) to ensure full trailer utilization.

Negotiated and implemented the formal bid process (RFP) for all Truckload, LTL, AIR and Ocean services, as well as “Statements of Work”, to ensure that we sourced the “Best In Class Providers” while paying the lowest competetive cost.

Created a set of routing guides for all inbound shipments of material from our OEM and CM vendor base both domestically and internationally. Worked with IT to develop an internal /external Transportation Web Portal that contains all routing guides, are accessible by all of the internal organizations and external vendors.

Implemented a process for the tactical movement of all repair vendor shipments with our maintenance, services organization. Created weekly round trip schedules between Avaya’s main distribution center and repair vendors in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Tennessee, including the routing of all scrap material to our scrap, crush vendors.

Implemented freight claims process to recover limited liability costs for all damage or loss below the deductable. Develeoped an internal process with our Marine Cargo Underwriter and their web based system to allow us to document and track all of our claims activity through their tool. It also provides us an insight to carrier performance in regards to handling of Avaya products while in transit.
