Then he also added to agribusiness, especially in horticulture, managed

gardens that many vegetables for sell to another countries like Japan and

Europe.

In running his business, Bob always called his self doesn’t have success key.

Because, he believes that every step that counterbalanced with fail, hard work

Pria kelahiran Lampung, 9 Maret 1933 yang hanya lulusan SMA ini pernah mengenyam profesi dari sopir taksi

hingga kuli bangunan untuk sekadar bertahan hidup.

Pada awalnya, ia menjual telur beberapa kilogram per hari bersama istrinya. Mereka menjual telur itu awalnya

dari pintu ke pintu. Dan, dengan ketekunan dan kemampuannya menjaga hubungan baik, telurnya makin laris.

Dari sanalah kemudian usahanya terus bergulir. Dari hanya menjual telur, ia lantas menjual aneka bahan

makanan. Itulah yang akhirnya menjadi cikal bakal supermarket Kemchick miliknya.

Ia kemudian juga merambah agribisnis khususnya holtikutura, mengelola kebun-kebun yang banyak berisi sayur

mayur untuk dijual pada orang asing seperti orang Jepang dan Eropa.

Dalam menjalankan setiap usahanya, Bob selalu menyebut dirinya tak punya kunci sukses. Sebab, ia percaya

bahwa setiap langkah sukses selalu diimbangi kegagalan, peras keringat, dan bahkan jungkir balik. Menurutnya,

uang adalah prioritas nomor sekian, yang penting adalah kemauan, komitmen tinggi, dan selalu bisa

menciptakan kesempatan dan berani mengambil peluang.
