The name of our filmWe decided that we would name our film Midfield as it shows that the main character is going through a mid-life crisis, it also represents the position that he once played

The genreFor this film we decided that it should be drama film with a sub-genre of sportsThis will attract a varied audience of both men and women

The concept/plotA retired footballer is going through a mid-life crisis. He decides he wants to watch his old team play so attends a match wearing a hat and sunglasses to hide his identity in case he gets recognised by a fan. His hat flies off and he is noticed by no one except a young boy. Its been years since someone recognised him in public and it makes him happy. He sits with this child during the match and while its going he has numerous flashbacks of his football career. The flashbacks show his old boss and the pressures he faced, his relationships and his family life.When the match ends the man feels an attachment to this young boy and decides he would like to see him more often. He decides to coach the boy at football and the main challenge they face is getting the boy ready for a major football event at his school. Throughout the film their relationship develops.
