What can be linked from my Homepage?

� Word Docs

� Website Links

� In short just about anything you can do in the Financial Edge can be accessed by creating Favorites on your Home Page!


Action Reminders

� Actions track any tasks or activities you complete for a record.

• For example:

• In AP, a vendor action may track a review of a maintenance contract

• In GL, a project action may track reports that need to be sent to a Grant Organization

• In Payroll, an employee action may track an employee review.

� Action Reminders on the Home Page notify you when actions are scheduled for

What is Homepage?

� The starting point for The Financial Edge

� Gives users the ability to add shortcuts for all of their daily tasks through the use of “favorites”

Similar to setting up a homepage on an Internet browser

� Each employee has the ability to customize their homepage to meet their specific needs

What is Dashboard?

� A car’s dashboard shows you up-to-the-minute information about your car – your speed, how much gas you have, how hot the engine is, etc.

� A Financial Edge Dashboard is very much the same – showing you timely information about your organization in a visual presentation. Each panel shows a different report.



Dashboards

� A powerful management tool that gives you a snapshot of important performance indicators

� Quickly and easily, it summarizes your organization's most valuable information


� Create dashboards with panels containing information from all the programs within a database for which you have security rights to view


How do I make my Dashboard?

� The Customize button is

where you configure your dashboard.

� The available panels of

reports are listed on the left.


� Choose the panel by clicking

Add.

� Click the Edit button to format

the report, change date

ranges, and apply filtering.


What can I do with my Dashboard?

� In the Panel:• Copy the Panel to the

Clipboard to use in PowerPoint, Word, etc.

• Print the Panel for hard-copy distribution.

• Send the Panel as an e-mail!


� Drill down into Records, Transactions and Source Documents!

• For example, you can drill down to an AP Invoice right from an Income Statement.

� Drill down simply by pointing-and-clicking.

• In this example, clicking on the account number takes you into the Account Record’s Activity tab.


Some Tips about Dashboard

� Dashboards are “cross-modular”.

� You can have over 200 panels in each Dashboard.

� You can make as many Dashboards as you want.

� Dashboards can be shared with other users.


� Dashboards must be refreshed to show the most current information.
