“instructions” for all assignments posted for this course. The final grade will be determined by calculating a percentage (out of 100) based on the number of points attained by the student and the number of points possible.

Grading Policy:

Each assignment will have a point value. At the end of the semester, a student’s final grade is based on a percentage value (out of 100%) by dividing total points earned with total points possible. Students can keep track of these points in Blackboard’s Gradebook. Final Grade Scale is: 90-100=A 80-89=B 70-79=C 60-69=D 59 and below=F

Attendance Policy:

Students should log on each day for any new announcements, email, discussion board, assignments and exam postings. It is your responsibility to keep up will all course information.

Missed Exam Policy:

All exams must be taken during the available time given. I will allow make up exams only in the event of hospitalization. You must contact me immediately and provide documentation before the makeup will be provided to you.

Late Assignment Policy:

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ ABOUT ASSIGNMENTS: 1. All chapter assignments are due on Friday by 4:30 p.m. (check Course Outline for specifics). 2. A “grace” period will be given after each Friday due date which will result in no deduction of

points to the student. 3. All assignments must be submitted in the assignment drop box in Blackboard. Please do not send as

an email attachment. 4. Assignments not submitted by the end of the grace period will be assessed a zero. If for some

reason you are unable to submit by the Grace Period, you must notify me by email before Sunday. You will be given one opportunity to submit one last assignment within 7 days of due date (the next following Friday) but ONLY if I hear from you by the end of the Grace Period the week the assignment is due.

5. No assignments accepted via email attachment in Blackboard or KCTCS email—assignment drop box (course area) only.

6. Take chapter test/exam by the due date. 7. IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT CLASS PARTICIPATION REPORTING ON ATTENDANCE

ROSTERS. “Participation” means submitting assignments, not just logging on to course in Blackboard. Your last date of participation will be for the last assignment submitted. If you are not submitting assignments this means you are not participating in the course. This rule is for “Return to Title IV” reporting.
