• Insect- any bug that has a head, thorax, and abdomen and 6 legs. They usually have wings

• Thorax- the middle part of the body on an insect between the head and the abdomen. This part usually has the wings and legs.

• Abdomen- the third part of an insect.Insects have 3 body parts

• A feature is part of something. All humans share features such as, eyes, nose, mouth, and ears.

• Some features a bug could have are: antennas, wings, legs, and eyes.

Insects have their skeletons on the outside, with their soft parts inside. Every time they want to become bigger, they have to break out of their skin and swell up to their new size before their new skin hardens.

They eat just about ANYTHING!!!

• Lots of them eat plants

• Some eat other insects

• Some of them eat blood (mosquitoes)

• Some eat nectar from plants

• Cookies and crumbs (ants/cockroaches)
