Dream Dinner Franchise Recipe of the Month: Warm Crab and Artichoke Dip Can’t think of anything creative to bring to this year’s party for the Big Game? Have no fear; we have the perfect, delicious treat for you and all of the other football watchers: Our Dream Dinners franchise Warm Crab and Artichoke Dip courtesy of Dream Dinners… Life Just Got Easier!

Although this dip could be served as dinner all by itself, it’s also a scene-stealer at any football party in the appetizer spread. The combination of crabmeat and artichokes is so rich and flavorful, all of your guests will ask for your recipe! Serve this dip with your favorite breads, crackers or fresh cut-of vegetables as optimal vehicles to get this delicious dip into your mouth. Feel free to use non-fat mayonnaise for a healthier alternative in the dip; doing so won’t sacrifice any bit of flavor!

Dream Dinners Franchise Warm Crab and Artichoke Dip

• 9x13 baking dish

•Nonstick cooking spray

• 2 14-ounce cans of artichoke hearts (drained and quartered)

• 2 cups of non-fat mayonnaise

• 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese

• 1 7-ounce can of diced, mild green chiles

• 1 2-ounce jar of pimentos (drained)

• 3 scallions (chopped)

• 1 tablespoon and 2 teaspoons of lemon juice

• 1 tablespoon and 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce

• 1 teaspoon of celery salt

•½ pound of crabmeat (picked over)

• 1 cup of sliced almonds

Directions 1. Preheat the oven to 375°F

2. Spray one 9x13 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray

3. In a large bowl, combine the artichokes, mayonnaise, Parmesan, chiles, pimentos, scallions, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce and salt and stir together until smooth.

4. If the crabmeat is canned or frozen and thawed, squeeze over a colander to remove excess juice.

5. Gently fold the crabmeat into the artichoke mixture.

6. Spread evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

7. Sprinkle the tin with almonds

8. Put the baking dish into the oven, uncovered, and cook for 25 to 30 minutes, or until brown and bubbly.

9. Let cool, and serve with crackers, chips or vegetables!

If you’re looking to assemble the dish and freeze for later use, this pre-baked dish can be placed in the freezer for up to 2 months. Wrap the dish in plastic wrap followed by heavy duty aluminum foil. When you’re ready to take it out of the freezer to bake, thaw it overnight in the refrigerator before and bake as directed above.
