Besides providing world-class GSM services in the Seychelles, Airtel also offers Fixed Line (also called Land line) Telephone services in selected parts of Mahe. Airtel has so far covered Victoria, Providence, Mont Fleuri, Roche Caimen, Union Vale, Beau Vallon and Beau Belle and also started expanding in the Barbarons area, which is in the southern part of the island. There are plans for further expansion of this service around Mahe and the other main islands of the Seychelles.

Airtel introduced huge cuts in fixed line rates in August 2005 of up to 42%. Customers calling from an Airtel landline to any other local landline, can now talk for as little as 50 cents for 3 minutes at nighttime, which is the lowest local landline rate in Seychelles. Airtel's off-peak period is from 7pm to 7am and also includes full 24-hours on Public Holidays and weekends. The peak rate, from 7am to 7pm, was also reduced by 10% to 70 cents for 3 minutes.

The fixed line services offered by Airtel works on a 62 kpbs copper wire line and ensures crystal clear communication and there are various value-added services from party conferencing to Calling Line Identification (requires a CLI telephone terminal).The Airtel Fixed Line can also be used for data transmission and is  ideal for your Internet needs or access. Airtel reduced its Internet dial-up rates up to 42% in August 2005, now offering the best dial-up rates in the country. Calls made to your local Internet Service Providers (ISP) are charged at SR0.60 from 7am to 7pm, SR0.50 from 7pm to 11pm and SR0.40 from 11pm to 7am (incl. GST) for every six minutes to are online. This is applicable when dialing up on both Atlas' 60 50 40 and Kokonet's 60 60 60. Airtel Fixed Line Services offers a range of products from standard direct lines and CLI (Caller Line Identity Phones) as an option, Fax and Data and BGS - Business Group Services offering virtual PABX services.

Recently Sunil Bharti's Airtel launched its calling card in America specially for the NRI (Non-resident Indians) and people calling from America to India at a cheaper rate as compared to the tariff offered by other providers.

On February 12, 2007 Vodafone sold its 5.6% stake in AirTel back to AirTel for US $1.6 billion; and purchased a controlling stake in rival Hutchison Essar.
